March & Salsa Wondering what's up ahead... The sun was out and shining brightly, there were only a few clouds in the sky. It's rays were warm as they shinned between the leaves in the trees and landed on two small bodies. it was quiet and a soothing wind blew threw the forest, but alas the nice serene quiet did not last for very long before it broken by a loud yell.
"Hurry up March, your burning day light!" The loud yell that had disturbed the quiet of the forest was none other than Salsa, the loud mouth half-elf. She was of course yelling at her older sister, March. She always yelled at her sister and try to tell her what to do. The two sisters were out on a walk though the forest, something they did together quite often, ever since their parents had left them, ether by choice or not. Salsa was some what further ahead of her sister, she was what she called encouraging her sister to hurry up.
" I'm coming!" She yelled back to her sister who was further up the trail. March was only behind for one reason and one reason only. She was not in a rush, it was not like that had anywhere important to be right now, and these walks were suppose to be enjoyable, not rushed. March was taking her time to look around and see how the forest had changed form the last time they had went out for a walk, which was just the day before.
Salsa eventually slowed down and stopped, she was not the type of person to take her time. But she waited on her sister to catch up to her, something that annoyed her. She always thought that how could sisters turn out to be so different, not just sisters twins for that matter. She sat down on a near by boulder to wait on her sister who clearly doesn't care about her having to wait on her.
March was glad that her sister was waiting on her. But she just thought that, that meant she could go even slower Dan take her time to enjoy this beautiful day. She looked up at the sky and then started to hum to herself as she walked toward her sister. she was humming a song their mother taught them when they were smaller as a lullaby. March loved her mother very much, her mother and her where very close. But their time was cut short, something March hates because she thought she did not spend enough time with her. When march finally caught up to her sister, she sat down beside her still humming that little song.
Salsa heard her sister humming as she sat down next to her. She remembered the tune and felt happy, but then started to feel sad for her sister. She missed their mother so much, March was very close to their mother. Salsa of course was a fighter and was really close to their father. Salsa after a few seconds joined in with her sister humming the tune as they rested on a huge rock. They did not speak to each other for a few minutes, they just sat there side by side humming their song obvious to anything around them.Occ: Word Count>543 Comments>Sorry it's not that long and not that good. It was one of those days that Tomonari felt brave enough to walk around the forest on his own. Even then, it did take a little presuasion for his foster father to allow the teenager to go off on his own. Besides, it wasn't as if he would leave the forest or anything like that! Still, monsters were always around, so he had his two chakrams with him for protection. It was really quiet until he heard a call of sorts that seemed quite loud. Tomonari stopped for a second, but then ignored it. He probably didn't need to bother with it, and anyways, he felt like walking slow. The half-elf had nowhere to go, so he could pretty much do whatever he wanted. However, not once has he used that to his advantage. Tomonari was actually a teenager that listend to his father's rules, though if he broke one, it was completely by accident.
He raised his arms up in the air and stretched a little, and leaned against a tree. Looking up at the sky, Tomonari smiled a little. As timid as he was, there were things that made him feel calm and safe. The looking didn't last for long, as he decided to keep moving on. As he did so, Tomonari heard a faint humming nearby. "Huh? Someone's...humming?", Tomonari said to himself. Out of curiousity, he slowly walked towards where the song was coming from. Carefully, Tomonari peeked around a tree, and saw the half-elf twins resting on a rock, and apparently they were the ones that caused it. He paused for a moment and turned to go in another direction, but instead fell backwards and close to the rock, "W-w-woah! Ow..." Tomonari layed there for a couple moments, before getting up, and turning around to face the two, "I-I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to disturb you two."

The humming quickly stopped at the arrival of the twins new visitor. This startled them both, but March of course did not mind. Thinking that maybe the strange was just curious about them. But Salsa thinking everyone is a Potential threat of course got upset, it was as if all hell had broken lose.
"What the fudge! Who are you and what are you doing here?" Salsa was mad, as anyone could see. She was yelling and asking all sorts of questions that she did not have ant business asking. March being the older sister kept her cool," Salsa please calm down. I'm sure it was just a accident." March was trying to keep her sister from starting a fight, which she always did.
But Salsa was not going to listen to her older sister , she thought that the boy was stalking them like a cat does a mouse or something like that. " Is it a fight you want kid, cause I'll beat you down." Salsa pulled out her chakrams and then shifted to a battle stance." Well what are you waiting on? Come on!" She yelled. One reason Salsa wanted to fight so suddenly was that she had not done so in awhile. March and her would spar every now and again, but Salsa was looking for a real fight.
"Oh my gosh!" Was what march was saying, she did not want this to end up being a meaning less stupid fight. All she thought was that Salsa was being hot-headed and that was dangerous." Salsa, stop please." March was not the kind of person to raise her voice. But she was not the kind of person to let stupid fight happen either. March turned to the stranger and said in a clam tone. " Please don't mind my sister. She is just a little head strong is all." What is could she say, Salsa was just that head strong. The correct answer about Tomonari, was that he was curious, so March's thoughts were close enough. He had worried looks on his face, and jumped when Salsa yelled at him. "I-I'm sorry, really.", the teenager said in response. He didn't want a fight to start, especially since it would be two against one, perhaps. However, the girl with the red hair seemed to be the hostile one, unlike the other girl. Anyways, Tomonari was definately not one to stalk others! He was taught better than that, and he did not want to know how much his father would ground him if he did so. What was he supposed to do now though? The half-elf didn't want to say anything that would make Salsa even angrier, but Tomonari had to say something.
He shook his head when the girl took out her chakrams, and edged him on to fight, "N-no, I don't want to fight! It was a serious accident!" The most he could do was pretty much repeat what he said, as it was apparent that he was getting scared. Looking over at March, Tomonari listened to what she had to say. Oddly enough, he began to calm down, since at least one of them was kind. Nodding at March, he said, "It's fine. Again though, I'm sorry. My name's Tomonari, what's yours?" Tomonari was becoming curious again, as it didn't seem as if they truely were after him.
It was then that Tomonari thought of something. Out of more curiousity, he added on, "So, do you two live in the forest? I haven't seen either of you around..."

" Hello,Tomonari. My name is March and this is my twin sister Salsa. We are pleased to meet you." March said harmoniously, she was delighted to meet someone else. Both her sister and her have really not had any friends and she was eager to make one." Umm, yes we live in the forest, just some ways from here." March was trying to be as friendly as possible. Which surprisingly came easy to her. Yes they did live in the forest, but they try to keep to themselves most of the time. Only going out to buy food and such. So you can understand why they would not have any friends and since their mother died March wanted to help people and the only way to do that was to get out and see were everybody is. She loves her sister but she wants friends like anyone else would. March thinks Salsa wanted friends too until their father ran off, now all Salsa wants is a sparing partner. Which is something March can only do for so long. Salsa began to calm down after Tomonari introduced himself. She was trying to protect herself and her sister from any harm that might come their way. Of course Salsa didn't see Tomonari as a really big threat. But he was a threat none the less. She put away her chakrams, which are almost as big as her. Salsa shat her sister an irritated look for telling a stranger were they lived." So kid, do you live around the forest. We have not seen you around either." Salsa was calm, but her personalty made her act that way. She thinks she can talk to anyone any way she wants and call them anything she wants. Oh, and you should be sorry." Salsa just threw that in to annoy Tomonari. Salsa was curious about this boy and were he came from, probably more than her sister. Occ: Word Count:322 Comments:Could be better. Salsa really only wants someone to fight with so she can get stronger. Thats why she keeps trying to get Tomonari mad at her.

"It's nice to meet you too.", Tomonari replied to March. So they were twins, huh? Well, they weren't the kind that looked exactly alike, which helped a lot. Apparently, from March's reply, they also lived in Iselia Forest as well. It was kind of a big forest, so of course they wouldn't see each other. That, and his father was careful about where he let Tomonari go. Heck, the teenager has only been in the town of Iselia a couple times, and all of those times he was with his father. He didn't complain though, as he knew that the werewolf was only looking out for his son. By now, Tomonari was used to how he lived. However, he as well didn't have any friends to be around with either. Whatever the case, he was pretty sure that things would be fine with these two. Well, Salsa seemed pretty upset still.
He became more relaxed though when Salsa put away her chakrams. Tomonari didn't see the fact that her weapons were almost as big as her. With his timidness, it was obvious that unless he was attacked, no way was a wimpy teenage boy a threat. In response to Salsa's first question, Tomonari replied, "Yeah, I live in the forest too. My dad just doesn't like me going too far away from home, that's all." It was Salsa's next comment that made Tomonari jump a little. Her words didn't upset him, it just made him a bit more shy when it came to Salsa. March seemed completely fine to talk with, as her kind words made Tomonari calm down easily.

March was quiet, when she did not have anything to say she was quite. She really had a whole bunch of questions to ask, but she was being polite like any one should. She walked over to the rock were she and her sister were just sitting at before Tomonari had stumbled in and she sat back down. She was happy to have someone other to talk to than her sister. But this was one of the first time March had the chance to talk with anyone in a long time. So she really didn't know what to say. When her being the older sister she should always have the answers or something to say, strange.
If you knew Salsa you knew that she was going to ask Tomonari something you just knew it, and of course you would be right." So kid, how old are you? Who is your father? What does he do for a living?" Salsa was just throwing our question after question, quickly. She really didn't care, she wanted to get the "low down" and get it fast. She put her arms on her hips and said, Well? She was being very impatient, again she really did not care. She wanted to make sure this dude was okay and safe for her and her sister to be around and if that was being mean then she was.

Tomonari became a bit curious when March decided to go and sit down on the rock again. He didn't bother asking her why though, as Salsa seemed irritated to the point where she could knock his head off. Usually, just like now pretty much, Tomonari waited for someone to talk to him first, with some exceptions. His father being an example of an exception to that. Still, his focus turned back to Salsa when she started asking him question after question. Tomonari jumped at each one, as each question seemed like it would stab him repeatedly until he answered.
He hesitated for a bit, but eventually, Tomonari breathed out once, and got to answering the questions. "Well, I'm fifteen years old, and yeah I know, I'm kind of a wimp. My dad is Fergus Howlru. He usually does a logging job for Iselia, but does random jobs too. But, just so you know, he's my foster father. So yeah, that's pretty much it.", the teenage half-elf responded. Tomonari didn't dare tell Salsa, or even March, that his foster father was a werewolf. It was both the fact that his Fergus warned Tomonari not to tell anyone that he was a werewolf, and also the fact that the teenager was worried about what March and Salsa would do if he told them.

Raine Sage
As the sun shone overhead, the rays of golden light flittered gently through the gaps in the trees, casting long shadows all over Iselia Forest. The leaves lit up in vibrant shades of green as the light blazed through them, giving everything a quiet glow. Some of the trees were beginning to turn colors with the weather, which gave a very relaxing, nature-y feel to the whole environment.
White slouch boots crunched under the fallen leaves and breaking twigs of the forest floor, as they sweeped gracefully across the ground with a bit of a hop. Long, orange-and-black coat tails trailed behind, being blown slightly to the left by the gentle breeze.
Making up the entire figure was Professor Raine Sage as she headed back to Iselia from a little... exploration in Iselia Forest. She had a gleam in her eyes of pure excitement, or awe--let's just say she found an "interesting place" at the forest's edge, and now she was heading back to get some tools to "investigate" it further.
She'd run into more than a few monsters on her way there--where she'd hit them with her Rod until they died. It wasn't a common event that she wandered into the forest--even rarer her wandering in alone, but an Iselia local had reported to her that the last time Dirk had made a trip into the village, that he'd discovered some sort of "place" that would have easily been to Raine's intrest --> and it was.
So, now she was simply on her way back, keeping a glare out for more monsters she could smack to death... as well as marvelling at the peaceful air of the forest.
Though, the low mutter of voices from beyond the trees reached her sensitive elven ears, and she turned her head to look, despite the fact that she couldn't see them. Just sort of a natural reaction. Being able to pick out more than two voices, she identified them as younger voices--not quite child, but younger than she. And, having the natural parental/teacher instinct, she had to go and investigate. Iselia Forest was no place for casual chat.
Weaving her way through the trees, she entered the clearing with a curious expression, though it was influenced by a glare toward the three of them. There were two shorter ones--twins, and a young man. They were all... half-elves. In the back of her mind, she had an idea of why they might be there, but it didn't satisfy her, so she demanded, "What are you all doing out here? Don't you know that this forest is filled with monsters?"

March watched as a half-elf or maybe she was a elf. It was kind of hard for March to tell. March had a problem trusting full blood elf’s because of her father. Who left her sister and herself to fend for themselves. He left them for a reason March may understand but Salsa is still blind to the fact that he is gone and may never come back. March looked at the stranger up and down there was something familiar about her, she just could not put her finger on it though.” We were just out for a little walk, my sister and I. Were very aware that there are monsters in the forest.” March said as respectfully as she possible could. March also was thinking why She was out here as well. At least March and Salsa had each other. Salsa Was thinking well duh we know there are monsters in the forest, we live here for goodness sake. Well that was just what she was going to say ,ecept the second part.” Well Lady, duh we know that monsters live in the forest! What do you think we are stupid. I mean really.” Salsa was being kind of rude, she didn’t care as always. Heinstinctsts just kick in every time. She was going to say every and anything that came to her mind.” While your speaking of us, we can say the same thing about you. What are you doing out her, huh old lady?" The last thing she said was really rude and she said it in a harsh tone. If anyone of her parents were here she would get a smack to the face. She thought that it would be okay because there was no one there to scold her, but she was wrong. March was there and ready. March looked at Salsa with a Stern look, “Salsa, stop being so rude to people you just meet.” March said with a little something in her voice, something that is not always there. Still if someone did not stop thibehaviorir early than it would go on forever and be a big problem in the future. That was something that March did not want to happen at all and being the older sister she should make sure Salsa is safe and well kept, not to forget manner able. Salsa was surprised that her sister scolded her. But all the same she did not like someone coming up to them and asking a whole lot of questions in some way the stranger was being rude in her mind. She was not going to apologize for what she said, because she meant it. She gave her sister a quick glance and then looked the stranger dead in the eyes and said,” Well, answer me! Old Lady.” She said something rude again. As if her sister said nothing to her, but she thought if her sister said anything else to her she would end up saying something back maybe. Which Salsa knew that March knew so well that argumentnt could break out between them anytime and she would end up one upping her older sister. March almost never won augmentnt. She was not good at fighting. March sighed at the remark Salsa had made to the stranger. It would be impossible so stand up to her with out making a fool of herself ,which she hated. All she could say was that she was sorry for her sisters behaviorir, but how much would that help? Occ: Word Count:588 Comments:^.^

He really hoped that Salsa didn't have more questions to ask in rapid succession like that. Tomonari was starting to freak out as he was already. Well, there was no point in worrying over it, as other things began to distract him. He looked over and saw someone very familiar from Iselia. Of course, Tomonari didn't know whether the woman was a half-elf, as the woman who appeared was none other than Raine Sage. All he knew from the villagers was that she was a pure blooded elf, even though that wasn't entirely true. Still, Tomonari knew her from the fact that he was able to go to school in Iselia, and Raine was pretty much his teacher. However, he did jump a little as she spoke, since he never was used to being scolded. Mainly because he never did anything that got him scolded most of the time.
"O-oh! Professor Sage, I'm sorry.", Tomonari said to Raine. It wasn't as if he was expecting her to ask if he did his homework, but it was mainly the fact that he hardly ever saw anyone from Iselia, alone at least, in the forest. He jumped a little every time Salsa gave a rude remark to the woman, and tried to say something, but couldn't get himself to do so. Eventually, Tomonari managed to think of something to say, but not to Salsa directly. Instead, he turned towards Raine, and said, "I-I'm sorry Professor. She just acts that way in general, as far as I know. I just met these two just now." He hoped that in turn it wouldn't result in getting smacked upside the head by Salsa, as that girl was mean.

As answers were presented to Raine as she listened, her arms crossed now, she was not in the least impressed. Especially by the hot-headed red-head girl. As the boy spoke, she realized it was Tomonari, one of her students. She was hardly surprised, though; there was always something about him that stood out, anyway.
At the calmer twin's reply, Raine simply nodded. Even still--if they knew the monsters were out there, what if they weren't strong enough to fend them off? Or fast enough to avoid them? It was simply in her logic that made her present the question in the first place.
Oh--but that that other twin's reply, the Professor was nearly bursting a blood vessel with anger, though she held it back and simply shot a hostile glare. With a harsh note in her voice, she replied, "I never said anyone was stupid. And if you think that is any way to speak to someone senoir to you, I'm afraid you're sadly mistaken." She really put emphasis on a few words, meaning them very strongly. Of all the... I'm only 23! she snapped mentally.
Afterward, she turned to Tomonari. "She just acts that way in general, as far as I know," he had said. "So I've noticed. But there's no reason for you to appologize, Tomonari. You didn't do anything wrong," there was still a zing of annoyance creeping in her voice.
It was annoying how some of the younger generation were raised these days... especially the ones raised under different conditions than others... take for example Lloyd, with his idealist determination. Or Zelos, with his flirt-snotty-boy attitude. Or Presea with her... personality-less-ness. Or even Collette, raised under special attention had developed a hard-working, cheerful personality.

A rather rough grunt came from Fergus's throat as he went down the path in Iselia Forest towards his home. He was done with his work in Iselia right now, and decided to go home and find his son. Right now, he was in his human form, which was most likely the only way someone will ever see him, as his werewolf form was always in private, except if the need arose. Fergus was walking barefoot, and pulling his cart behind him by the handles on both sides of him. A few tools were in the cart, and his ax was hanging on his back by its usual strap. Not that he expected monsters to pop out, but even in Iselia's forest, it doesn't hurt to be careful. Besides, Fergus could still use his great sense of smell and hearing as if he was in his werewolf form. Good thing too, as having only one good eye made it a little difficult sometimes.
In any case, the large man continued his trek down the path, until a certain scent, and sound, caught his eye. It seemed like four people were talking, and by scent, two were extremely familiar. First was his son, Tomonari, which saved Fergus the trouble of hunting the boy down, and the other one was Raine Sage. Odd to see, hear, and smell those two together anywhere else but the school. Fergus would have decided to go and ignore them, as he could trust Raine with his son, but the two unfamiliar scents made him a bit more cautious. On further inspection though, the two new ones weren't monsters, and instead the new scents were kids, but he wanted to make sure. So, Fergus turned off the path and followed his senses to find them, but first hid his cart somewhere safe in the bushes.
Once he got closer to the area around the rock, Fergus saw in clear view everything. His son was safe, thank god, and there were no real signs of hostility, except from that red haired girl. Still, as he was in view already, Fergus said, "Tomo, Raine, I thought it was you two." A small chuckle came from the man as he reached out and roughed his son's hair up a little, and then looked down at March and Salsa. "Who are these two here?", he asked both Tomonari and Raine.

“I never said anyone was stupid. And if you think that is anyway to speak to someone senior to you, I’m afraid your sadly mistaken.” This made March chuckle a little bit. It was the first time anyone had said something like that to Salsa since their parents died, well except her of course. She knew that her sister was just going to come back with a rebuttal. This worried her very much. Only because when Salsa gets really mad does her attitude stops working for her and starts working against. There was this one time when the two sisters were fighting, which rarely happens. Did Salsa’s angry got the best of her and she threw an attack March’s way. Thank goodness she was light on her feet and dodged it. She could have really ended up hurt if that attack made contact with her. But still March loves her sister and will do anything for her. Salsa of course was going to try and get the best of the professor.” You did not have to directly say it. You implied that we were and that’s just the same.” Salsa said with out taking her gaze of Raine. Most people call Salsa “slow” . But surprisingly she is very smart and if she was in school she would probably be one of the smartest in the class, maybe. But all the same she was no fool by any means. She than turned to Tomonari. “Hey kid, Don’t talk about me like you’ve known me along time. Like you said we just meet. And don’t talk about me when I’m right here. I should smack you across the head. Be a Man! Salsa was ticked off and she was showing it, she added that last part because Tomonari said he was a whimp. She was actually trying to get him to stand up for himself which was a surprise, even to her.Anyone with eyes and ears could see that she was mad. But this would not last long. She would be calming down in a short while. March watched a rather large man came up to the small group. He walked over to Tomonari and roughed his hair. March guessed that it was his father. He kind of gave March a little freight . She was not used to being around someone that huge. There was something different about him that made her think. What was it, other than how big he was. “Oh great, an old man.” Salsa said as Fergus came up to the group. She of course was like her sister and was not used to being around someone as big as Fergus. But unlike her sister she was not afraid at the least. She thought that she could beat him anytime, anyplace. A fight, race, eating contest, anything. She of course was looking for a challenge and Fergus peeked her interests.” Well old man. Why don’t you ask us yourself who we are or are you afraid of a couple of girls. That must be it my awesomeness scares you. It’s okay a lot of people are, your not that first. Salsa chuckled as it was funny even to her, but she was serious too.______________________Occ: Word Count:552 Comments:Salsa is on the move and March is being surprisingly quite. ^.^

At Raine's response, Tomonari couldn't help but apologize again, "I-I'm sorry, Professor." Well, what could he do? This was kind of an awkward situation, to say the least. No point in worrying about it though. Of course, Tomonari would still worry, poor guy. He jumped a little when Salsa snapped back at Raine, and once more, tried to say something. Most likely, this would go on for a while, he just had that feeling. He knew that as a teacher, Raine did not hold back punishing her students. Luckily, Tomonari himself never had to experience her punishments, rather, the bad ones. He still made mistakes, but made up for it in return. By now, his timidness was the only reason why he got away with it. He never means any harm in what he does.
He jumped once more though when Salsa talked to him harshly. Hey, he was just telling Raine what he inferred from his short moment with Salsa. It wasn't like Tomonari could read minds or something! Once more, he let out another apology, "I-I-I'm sorry, Salsa. Er..." Well at least he wasn't exactly alone here. Still, Tomonari was a bit worried over the fact that March remained quiet. Was she normally like that? He didn't know of course, but would find out eventually. A rather loud rustle from the bushes changed Tomonari's attention, and his luck would probably have changed.
Looking up, Tomonari saw his father appear and rough up his hair a little. A small smile appeared as he closed his eyes from Fergus doing that. He seemed to have started calming down now, but that didn't mean Tomonari wouldn't stop being timid for now. Especially the fact that Salsa called Fergus 'old man'. Just as Raine thought highly of youngsters respecting his or her elders, Fergus was the same way. Tomonari jumped again as Salsa kept talking, and he began waving his hands a little frantically, and said to Salsa, "S-S-Salsa! This is my dad, Fergus! Don't start something, please? For our sakes?!" Obviously, the teenager's warning was serious and honest. Oh how this wouldn't turn out good.
With a sigh, Tomonari looked back over to Fergus, "I'm sorry, Papa..." With nothing else to do, Tomonari walked over to the big rock, and sat down near March, facing the scene that was going on. Half to March and half to nobody in particular, the half-elf said, "This isn't going to turn out good, I just know it..."
