Shara was walking along, minding her own business... Bored out of her skull. There was nothing happening! Were the rumors of bandits in this area false? She had been wandering for hours looking for them. It was not a good thing when you were looking for someone armed and dangerous, and you became bored. And that was what had happened to Shara here. Not a single trace of them.
At this rate, Shara was going to become known as the bunnyslayer. She had run into a number of monster-rabbits in her time randomly searching. However, they hardly put a dent in her boredom... Since they seemed incapable of putting a dent in her armor, or even surviving more than a couple of hits from her sword.
Then, finally, when she had just given up, she finally found the bandits. Well, she found a group of people talking. And then found out that they were bandits. She hid behind a convenient rock nearby (Why was there always something like that around?) and eavesdropped on them. She heard them talking about the loot they had recently gotten, and what they would do in the next village they raided.
Shara leaped out from behind the rock and charged at the nearest of them. "Die like the miserable cowards you are! Beast!" She drew her sword and unleashed a powerful slash in one movement. The sword flashed with a very light, shining blue light for a split second, and during that brief moment, the roar of a lion rang out.

"You know, that's just pretty Pathetic." ``Zelos Wilder}}
Oh, the busy life of a Chosen of Mana. Not that he was really ever needed to perform duties as a Chosen, but he was used mainly for publicity, and bluffs, religious stuff, and all that other crap. He had a busy life. Having just come from some stuff over in Sybak, he was pretty tired from having to walk across the entire Ocean via the Tehte'alla Bridge. He'd had to make an appearance at the Imperial Resarch Academy to be used as an example during a lecture. But it wasn't all that bad; all he'd had to do was stand there and smile and wink at all the cute girls in the room. And he got paid. So it was pretty simple. Well--that is, until the Professor who was giving the lecture kepy touching him. Ew. All he could think of during the entire lecture was the word "pervert". But the cute College girls made it worthwhile~
But now, he was travelling through the open, uninhabited wasteland that connected everything. It was dry, and open, with a few trees and bushes scattered about. Their leaves were turning color, a nice flourish of red, orange, and brown--some were already on the Earth's surface, blowing around in the gentle breeze to give the whole place a sense of life. A few rocks jutted out of the ground, too, and the grass was long, which gave the place that whole "Wasteland" feel. Although, it wasn't as peaceful as it used to be, now that monsters began appearing all over the place it was a bit of a hassle to get from one place to another. But Zelos was a good fighter--and he was very light on his feet--which made things pretty easy.
Tethe'alla's Chosen walked with his hands clasped behind his head as he walked, his sword tucked away in its usual sheath. He walked casually, as he glanced up at the sky. It was clear; clouds were out, the occasional bird silhoette cutting through everything. It was too boring for his taste. Zelos tried to imagine some sort of interesting fantasy to keep himself occupied. He thought of himself--looking incredibly handsome and irresistable--running into a band of thieves who were trying to rob a poor, defenceless, incredibly hot babe with a nice body and some awesome, revealing body armour. He would then step in to save the day, swooping up the beautiful lady in his arms, where she would fall in love with him and he would be her hero and all that other nice, romantic crap.
Strangely enough, Zelos's attention was diverged from his thoughts as he heard a large commotion of noise coming from around a large, convientely placed rock formation. There was a huge roar, and a large cry from a woman. He'd then remembered that in the newspaper, there'd been an article on bandit sightings in this area. Are you serious? he wondered to himself, and quickly unsheathed his double-edged longsword.
Grabbing onto one of the smaller rocks in the convienent formation, he launched himself up and over it, slashing down on the Bandit that was idly standing where he was about to land. He instantly fell over dead, smirking vistoriously as he called out, "Demon Fang!" toward another one, slashing the small tremor toward the bandit. He then turned around, beginning to slash at another one in his hurricane-style of fighting. When finished cutting that one to ribbons, he spun around and bashed the last one on the head with his round umbo sheild, knocking him unconcious.
After that, he turned to the lady who he'd been defending, winked at her, and then bowed--where he also smoothly slid his sword back into the sheath at the same time. "Hello there, m'lady. I hope you were not injured in this struggle~"

The bandits didn't know what hit them. The first who Shara had struck head on with her Beast tech died instantly as the sword slashed straight through him, spraying blood on her. Shara then immediately ran for the next one, who was sitting down, slashing her sword right for his throat. She didn't miss. The next one, she stabbed right through his twisted black heart.
The other bandits had prepared themselves by now. Shara saw as they all held their weapons, prepared to strike. However, at this point someone else intervened. She heard a cry, "Demon Fang!" The bandit who was impacted by the shockwave and fell also happened to be the next closest to Shara. She rushed forward, finishing him, and then attacked the next one, who blocked her attack with his axe.
Shara's sword was caught in the wooden handle of the axe. Shara started to try and pull it out, but then got another idea. She took her left hand and put it on her sword with her right, pushing forward. The bandit looked surprised that a woman could be so strong. Shara grinned, as her sword dug deeper into the wood, cutting through the handle. The axe's head fell to the ground.
Shara's sword then cut through the bandit himself even more easily than it had his weapon. Shara felt a sharp pain in her left arm. She looked, and saw that another bandit, wielding a thin sword, had just thrust through the chain mail on her arm. Shara sheathed her own sword, then grabbed his with her right hand (Oh how she loved having gauntlets) and pulled it away from him. Then, she pulled her arm back, and delivered a powerful punch straight to his face, sending him flying.
Shara turned around, and saw that a stranger, almost certainly the one who had sent a Demon Fang attack toward that other bandit, was finishing up another one, who looked like a bloody mess now. Then, he knocked out another, apparently the very last one, with a strike of his shield.
He turned around, and said to her, "Hello there, m'lady. I hope you were not injured in this struggle~" Shara could have sworn she recognized this man... Well, whatever. She responded in an even, courteous tone, "Thank you for your concern, but they were hardly much of a threat. I did get careless, and receive one wound to my arm, but it's nothing serious." She was completely calm as she wiped off the blood from her sword onto the grass, and once she sheathed it, wiped some blood that had splashed onto her forehead away as well.
Shara then realized where she recognized this man from. She had seen him occasionally when she visited her friend Brian, in the upper section of the city. Shara asked in a polite, but curious tone, "Would you happen to be Zelos Wilder, the Chosen of Mana? My name is Shara." Shara's voice and expression showed no hint of surprise. As usual, she remained completely calm, or at least, kept the appearance of it. Words: 512 Comments: Never make Shara angry. Ever. Well, not like it's an easy thing to do anyway XD

Score 1 for the Chosen~
Standing back up straight, the Chosen listened with his smug smile as she thanked him kindly. Getting a good look at the dame, she was pretty average, but had a really blazing hair color--slightly simalar to his own, in a way. But hers was shorter, and not as bold and beautiful. Oh well. She was still kind of cute; cute enough to flirt with, easily.
"Oh, you are so welcome. I couldn't just leave a dame in danger, could I?" he charmed smoothly, and then added, "Oh, you are wounded. Let me heal you..."
Bringing two fingers up to about his nose, Zelos stretched out his other hand, and he began to cast. A white magic circle began to form at his feet, the lines tracing circles, and designs within it. When the circle was completed, he spun around on his heel and tapped Shara on the arm, and slyly winked, "First aid~" Shara then introduced herself, asking if he was who he thought he was. Smirking, Zelos was charmed by the fact that he'd gotten his name around well enough for this commoner to know exactly who he was. "Shara... A beautiful name for a beautiful lady. I shouldn't have excpected any less. And yes," be paused, taking a step back and striking a Lloyd pose (the shrug one), "I am in fact the Great Zelos Wilder, Tethe'alla's amazing and attractive Chosen of Mana. Charmed~" ooc wordcount: 263 comments: kinda short XD but it's almost lunchtime, so I had to rush it a little, lol.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Shara listened to the man speak, and felt a slight pang of annoyance. Not enough to make her look any less calm, she was good at keeping her temper. (Although, when she finally did lose it, very bad things happened. ) However, he could think what he wanted. Those bandits had been weak, perhaps enough to terrorize the average traveler, but hardly a match for Shara, even together. She'd been in no real danger, and despite her being a woman, she was quite strong, and her fighting style had left most of the bandits in pieces.
Then, she noticed him appearing to cast a spell, and raised an eyebrow curiously. He didn't appear to be a half-elf, certainly not a full one. And surely she would have heard if the Chosen was a half-elf either way. As he finished, she heard him say "First aid~" before feeling her wound close up.
Then the man introduced himself as "The Great Zelos Wilder, Tethe'alla's amazing and attractive Chosen of Mana." Shara felt another pang of annoyance. This man seemed quite arrogant, and also seemed to be a flirt. She wondered if the lovestruck fool even noticed her armor, or the Exsphere in the right gauntlet.
Shara asked Zelos, her voice still calm, but once again curious, "Was that magic you just used? I was unaware that humans were now able to do so. Or perhaps it's just because you're the Chosen?" Words: 257

Prying Much?
Zelos was slightly annoyed also by this Woman's curiosity in himself. Now, normally he'd be easily flattered by woman he'd save or something taking an intrest in him... but not in this manner. He liked it when they asked about his money, or his house, or how he gets his hair the way he does~ you know, stupid things like that that only Zelos would love. But, you see, he realized that this girl could be fairly dangerous, prying into him in this way. He'd always been taught to avoid these kind of people, for the fact that they could be assasins or something along those lines. But, it wasn't like he couldn't defend himself now, so it was fine. He hoped.
The Chosen was also quite hesitant about telling her how he could use Magic. He really didn't want to go into detail about how he had the Aionis injection and all that--it was painful, disgusting, and probably too advanced for this commoner to understand.
So, he decided to lie. "It's in the Chosen's blood, you see." he winked at her, and then changed the subject abruptly. "So tell me: what is a beautiful lady such as yourself doing out in a wasteland at a time like this? It isn't safe, you know--I couldn't let you continue on out here unaccompanied" Not like I have anything better to do.

Shara wasn't sure why, but she was rapidly becoming annoyed with this... Flirt. Chosen or not, something about him was rapidly grinding her nerves, more than anyone she'd ever met before. It wasn't even quite the way he talked and kept flirting, and flirting, and flirting... Maybe it was also that obnoxious shade of red his hair had. Regardless, he was annoying. Shara was really getting close to the breaking point, but she didn't throw him and send him flying off into the sunset just yet. Shara began speaking, with a still polite but now very slightly icy tone (she couldn't help it, she was near her breaking point) "I came to kill those bandits. As you can see, I was successful in what I came to do. I'll probably start looking around for more bandits to kill. Oh, and I really can handle myself in a fight, in case you didn't notice those corpses over there that are cut in half, or the sword and the heavy armor with the Exsphere attached to it."Shara held her right hand to show the blue gem and ring of golden metal that was embedded into the gauntlet she wore on it. Shara then said, "Oh, on that note, have you happened to hear of any other bandits or anything similar elsewhere on the continent so I can go and slay them?" Shara waited for his response, desperately hoping that it wouldn't involve more flirting... And that he wasn't a stupid bigot that thought women were weak. Or worse, like her parents, who thought that a woman who wanted to know to fight was only a piece of garbage. Words: 292 Comments: Let's see what happens, shall we? I wonder if Shara ends up acting like Sheena XDDDD

" Whose hair are you calling rediculous?!"
Zelos was becoming annoyed that this girl was annoying because he didn't know what she was annoyed about and it annoyed him to a degree of annoyance. For some reason, he thought that her annoyance was because of him. Which was confusing, because the only people who ever seemed annoyed by his presence were Sheena, Raine, and the obnoxious brat Genius.
Shara then began to talk, and talk, and talk, and talk, and talk, and sounded like a little bee buzzing in his ears, flying around and poking at him, and trying to make him do something. It was almost like she was provoking him. She seemed to be going out of her way to say that she was tough, and that she could stand up to the bandits that she was killing. It's not like he didn't believe her or anything.
She tehn asked if he knew of any other bandits in the area, and he was pretty much baffled by her interest in it all. Merciless killing? Totally not sexy. He really wasn't liking this girl much. Even if she did wear hot armour. He wasn't digging her personality, or that Exphere, or her attitude. Or, wait; he wondered. Are attitude and personality the same thing? He concluded that they probably were. But she still pissed him off.
Of course, he couldn't just not flirt with a girl, even if he didn't like her. "Now, before I give you such dangerous information, I'd like to know the reason for your killing."

"Excuse me?!" Shara asked, incredulous. Something snapped inside her. She didn't just want to get away from this obnoxious man, she wanted to make him get away from her. Shara started walking toward him, and spoke in a tone that showed her full out wrath. "You make it sound like I'm just some murderer! Now listen here you little creep,"
Shara was right up next to him now, and she forcefully grabbed his collar and brought him right to her snarling face. "I want to kill the bandits to stop them from harming innocent people. I don't know if a spoiled noble like you is capable of comprehending that." Shara's golden eyes were burning with an unspeakable rage. "I can't stand your type. Arrogant flirts who care for nothing but themselves, seducing all the airhead girls around into following you, and then when you're supposed to be doing stuff for the people, you instead waste your time messing up the justice system and turning it into a mockery of what it should be!"
Shara continued speaking to the obnoxious "Chosen" and said "My parents were hanged because of stupid noble's games! They were horrible people, thieves and liars, and I would have gladly seen them imprisoned for that, but they were not murderers." She stared right into the man's blue eyes (and began gaining a slight distaste for the color blue) as she continued "For them, and no doubt all the other people who were put through injustices for the games of the 'nobles' who aren't at all noble in any sense of the word, I should..."
Shara pulled her left fist back (the one that wasn't holding the man's collar) and prepared to deliver a punch that would send him reeling. Then, she stopped. Shara said, as she roughly pushed Zelos away with both hands, "You know what, you're not worth it. I'm leaving, so you won't have to get out of my sight. If you attempt to get back in it however, prepare for pain."
Shara let out a huff as she turned around sharply, and then began walking off. She really did hate guys like that. Self-important flirts who thought the world was just there for his amusement. There was nothing but utter disgust in Shara's mind for that type. She listened as she walked, if he planned on pursuing her and starting a fight for whatever "insult" he may have taken for her actions, he would not find her an easy target. Shara would love an excuse to prove she was better than that windbag. Words: Four-hundred and sixty-three. Comments: XD Come on Zelos, try it. Try and follow her, try and stop her from leaving you in the dust. Try it, and see what happens XDDD

" Ouch."
Zelos was surprised by the intensity in her voice--and unlike usualy, he didn't think it was very hot. He then suddenly felt her hands on his shirt, pulling him in, and his expression turned to that rare, serious frown that he hated having to show. He never liked listening to long, boring speeches about what a jerk he is and how what everyone else did was right and what everything he did was wrong, but he'd learned to ignore it, simply because of the fact that it was their opinion.
So he pretty much blankly listened, nearly looking right through her head as he looked completely toward her eyes but right to the back of her head. He was then pushed away, and luckily he'd managed to react enough to regain his balance and not to fall over. She then started stomping away, and he could tell that she didn't want him to follow her.
Which was pretty much the invitation to follow her.
But he didn't want to get slapped, so he simply headed off in an adjasent direction, planning to then hide behind something, and slowly but secretly follow her. Seeing a nearby tree, he went over and stood behind it, then quickly and silently dashing behind a bush...

Shara saw movement out of the corner of her eye. What, did he think she didn't see him? Shara said in a once again icy tone, "I thought I told you that you shouldn't get back into my sight?" Shara turned around again, looking in the direction she'd seen the movement from. She saw a bush, and behind it, that ridiculous shade of red the man's hair had.
Shara walked over, and pushed the branches of the bush apart, and said to Zelos, "You're really pushing it, you know that? If you have something to say that isn't mindless drivel, implications that I'm a heartless killer, or talking about how you're so great and attractive and I'm not allowed to be annoyed at endless flirting, then spit it out already!"
Shara was still extremely annoyed, but that was it now. Her utter flaming rage had cooled a bit. She then said, "Or were you planning something else, like attacking me from behind?" She raised an eyebrow, while still retaining her annoyed look, "Just so you know, I'm not going to fall for anything like that." Words: 207 Comments: Shara notices everything. XD

" Man..."
Zelos was suddenly approached, and he tried to scramble away, but it was far too late. The ugly chick glared down at him as he crouched in the leaves. She started to preach to him about how annoying and egotistic and annoying and stereotypical he was, but he was totally used to hearing that from Sheena. So it didn't effect him in the least. She then began to predict what he was going to do--what he was probably going to say, what his plans to get at her were.
"d**n... you're a mind reader."
Zelos smirked, and then leaped right out of the bushes using the power of his exphere, and began to run backward, smiling and waving to her as he headed in the other direction. That bee-otch'll kill me!
was his thought on this matter. Although, once he was easily out of site, he turned a bit and headed back straight on the completely other side of the path, still ready to follow her. Or maybe he'd find the bandits first, and tell them to flee before the war and death chick caught up and slaughtered them all. He felt bad for THEM; not her. Definetly not her. She would've killed him! That would've been messy.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
