Finally, it was a moment where Fergus could stay in his werewolf form and not have to worry about others coming about to see his lupine stature. Nighttime still had its dangers though, as monsters did tend to roam more often at this time. Of course, a werewolf as strong as he was wouldn't have any real problems, as Iselia Forest's monsters were still weak, even at night. Since the old wolf wanted to save himself another shirt, he merely wore a black pair of pants with a belt on. Fergus blinked a few times, and sighed a little. Despite his vision been heightened somewhat, that darned black eye he had hindered his eyesight no matter what form he took. Well it was his fault for not getting it fixed, and so the man didn't complain. It was still a decent night so far, as his son didn't have much trouble falling asleep.
Though he left the boy at home by himself, Fergus still remained a close distance to his cabin, in case somebody decided to pull a stunt, oh let's say, trying to harm his adopted son. That wasn't a good idea when the werewolf was around, since Fergus still had that instinct to protect his kin. The wolf man was sitting on a rock in a clearing near his home, his lupine head turning occasionally to check on his cabin. Perhaps he was getting paranoid, since even if a monster or thief invaded his home, he could still get there before the intruder even got to Tomonari. Placing a claw on his neck, Fergus cracked his neck a little, and then relaxed once more. At times, the werewolf forgot that his son was a half-elf, due to how long it had been since he took the boy in. Fergus chuckled to himself at this, and had a calm smirk on his face.
Still, there was a little worry in the old werewolf. At times, the man just wanted to go to Iselia and straight out tell the truth about himself, but remembering what happend all those years ago in Palmacosta stopped him from doing so. It seemed that worrying about things randomly was something he got from his son, which made Fergus smile a little as well. Nothing could really go wrong tonight, or at least, that's what this werewolf thought.

A silent sigh escapes the auburn man's lips. His wine colored eyes seeming to show the emotional wears of being over 4,000 years old. His mind still realing about his late visit towards Anna's grave. It seemed to the Seraphim as if he needed to tell Anna's grave as what he's been doing and how well Lloyd's been developing. How pround he was of his son, and how missed her so much. The man stops abruptly from his loenly walk in the forest to brush his hands through the gravity defying, aurburn hair. Shaking his head of any thought, he alows his sad expression to show despite his alert state. There would be no one in this dark forest, besides only a fool who didn't know what he/she was doing would be out here. Well that says a little something about Kratos. Gripping his hilt tighter with his left hand, Kratos continues his trek though the forest. He could have flown out and make his way back towards Derris-Kharlan, but he needed some time to compose himself and think before returning to Mithos. To let anyway see the state he's in at the moment. After a few minutes of walking, feeling more confident at controling his guilt, sadness, and frustration, he scratches the back of his head before freezing in place. Turning his head slightly, he hears the sounds of something breathing. It could be a monster, if so he should just ignore the creaure, but something told him it was something else. Feeling his legs carry him towards the sound, he curses himself at his curiousity. That always seemed to get him deep in Yuan's plots and blackmail. Placing his right hand on his hilt, and slowly creeping forward he catches sight of fur. Taking another step, he finds himself looking at a were-wolf. A were-wolf. hmmm....I haven't seen one in ages... Turning his gaze away fom the were-wolf, he glances at the cabin briefly before looking back at the were-wolf. His face showing no respons to the seeing Fergus. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Tonight seemed rather cold, but the werewolf payed no mind to it. After all, he was covered in fur, which kept him warm. He couldn't doubt that there were perks to being a werewolf, since at times, this form had some good use to it. For example, protecting his son. Of course, that was rather obvious, since Fergus did show to be rather protective at times. Especially when he started bringing the boy to Iselia for school and such. "There I go acting like a senile old man. Of course, that's what I'm becoming anyways.", Fergus thought to himself with a sigh. Though unless he was mistaken, werewolves did tend to live somewhat longer than humans, so he had a long ways off before becoming an old man. It worried the werewolf, however, when he began to think that he could possibly outlive his son.
However, his thoughts turned to elsewhere, as a strange scent came to his nose. His ears perked up, and his head quickly turned to start scanning the area. It was a slightly familiar scent, but Fergus couldn't make any assumptions right away. The werewolf had eyed the cabin a few more times then usual, just to make sure the scent wasn't headed towards that direction. A low growl came from Fergus's throat, his protective instincts kicking in already. The scent itself seemed different than what Fergus has seen before, so it made him all the more cautious. Eventually, his head turned towards where the scent was coming from. Since he couldn't see easily right away, curse that left eye, Fergus had to take some time to decipher the figure. The figure became easier for him to see, but the werewolf didn't let his guard down.
"Who's there? Show yourself!", the werewolf growled warningly. Just when he thought he could a moment's peace, something had to come up. Of course, his son wasn't directly around, which eased Fergus's worry, but only slightly.

Kratos stays for a few seconds, before turning away. He had nothing to do with this place, and even though he was curious as to what laid inside the cabin he knew that it would be not good to invade further in the were-wolf's territory. Hearning the were-wolf catching sight of him, he mentally curses at himself for stay to long. Stopping for a while, he contimplates whether to turn around or to continue on. He had learned that continueing to walk away from an all ready agressive were-wolf would be fool hardy. After all, they do seem to have the same instinct like wolves-whom are very protective of whoever is in their pack. Even though Kratos shouldn't be making such comparisons, he just knew that he might as well as show himself. Turning around and clicking his heels out of military habit, he slowly walks fowards out of the trees. A small tree branch snaging on his sleeve, but he easily pries it away with a quick step forward. Appearing in the opening of the area near the cabin; Kratos keeps a hand on his hilt and his feet spread apart. "I apologize for intruding," Kratos says to Fergus. His face giving hardly any regonition to the were-man's appearance. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

He was now standing with his feet on the ground, now at his full height. An intimidating werewolf, that was for sure, but that intimidation was usefull at some points, and bad in others. Looking at the man who revealed himself, Fergus's ears raised slightly, now knowing who this person was. It calmed him down a little, but of course, the wolf man still kept his guard up. A few more moments of silence went by, and Fergus spoke up, "You're Kratos Aurion, correct? I thought you left with the Chosen a while back." Now unless something had happened, Fergus doubted that this man would be in this area for no reason. Without any sign of the Chosen no less. Still, the man in front of him better have had a good reason to be here. Like any werewolf, he was rather protective of his family.
Fergus took a quick glance back at the cabin, and then placed his attention on Kratos again. He let out a small growl from his throat on accident, but even with his control over this form, there were still a few moments where he would let out a growl or two for no reason. On a better note, the fact that he could think rationally helped out greatly in this situation. Fergus had no clue what kind of fighter Kratos was, though figured that the man had been in quite a few fights.

Kratos stands his ground, not wavering at the full height of the were-man. His own chin held high and his face made of stone. He would not falter, but at the mention of the chosen he couldn't help but let a small look in his eye give away as to how he felt. He had betrayed the Chosen and their group long ago, and it would seem that even if they had visited Iselia they would not tell the people of their failure. To talk about their failure would only give way to hatred and resentment from the people of Sylvarant. Just as the group give resentment towards Kratos for what he had done. Through out the whole journey he tried to keep himself from forming any bonds with the group. Only getting to know Lloyd, and for that he only felt guilt at every hateful word that came out of Lloyd's mouth. It truely agitated the man that he could do nothing to show that Kratos is on Lloyd's side. That he's doing everything that he can do to allow Lloyd to weild the Eternal Sword. Since he is the Origin's seal, he would not live to weild the sword against Mithos. Than there was whether he could even trust Yuan, but as of lately, the bluenette has been rather frustrated and sneaky. Leaving longer than usual, as per usual when it was time for the Chosen's regeneration. Remembering that he hadn't answered Fergus's question, he quickly thinks up some kind of lie. "The Chosen's group is staying at her house for the mean time." Kratos begins flawlessly. His voice not giving any indication that he was lying to Fergus. Looks like his 4,000 years of playing word and mind games with Yuan would pay off finally. "We're staying for the night to rest before continueing on the journey early in the morning."Glancing at the cabin for a second, he hears a growl come from Fergus. Staring at the were-man for a short while though the gravity-defying hair of his, he alows himself to have a slight conversation with Fergus. "Does a familly member of your's stay there?" Kratos asks, his voice sounding softer than usual. His own mind thinking of Lloyd, and how he's doing at the moment. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

If the two were to go into a staring contest, it would more or less never end, due to the rather stoic actions of them. Fergus retained his glare down at Kratos while awaiting a response, his head only turning slightly so he could check on his cabin, and make sure the man didn't pull any sudden moves. The werewolf noticed that Kratos seemed to have been taking his time in responding, but ignored it. As long as this visitor of sorts wasn't plotting some sneaky action, Fergus wouldn't have a need to maul the man. His ears perked up a little as Kratos spoke, and the werewolf payed his full attention to the man's words. However, Fergus grew suspicious of it, and responded afterwards, "If what you say is true, I wouldn't have seen Raine Sage rather recently. But, if it's something that shouldn't be known, I won't harass you for the truth."
He knew fully well what it was like to hide things that others shouldn't know, so it was only natural that Fergus wouldn't push Kratos to say anything. After all, he himself was a werewolf of all things! Fergus remained quiet, seeing how things would play out, until Kratos spoke up once more. A slight instinct to be protective acted up when family was mentioned, but the werewolf stayed calm. As long as there was no mention of his son being a half-elf, Fergus figured it wouldn't do any harm. "My adopted son and I live in that cabin. He's asleep right now and I figured I needed to get out for a bit.", Fergus replied calmly. However, how he said it did somewhat tip Kratos off that his adopted son was not a werewolf, but there wasn't enough to go on for an assumption such as race.
A few more moments went by, and Fergus began to feel as if this wasn't exactly a decent place to keep a conversation up. Looking at the cabin again, and then at Kratos, he tilted his head to motion over at the cabin, and then continued, "You want to come in for a bit? This isn't exactly a decent place to talk."

Kratos has never lost a staring contest in his life, and if this is one, he isn't going to lose this one either. Though he did lost once, but Yuan cheated by throwing one of his pens in the auburn man's face. So that doesn't exactly count, but as Yuan says 'What ever goes~'. Kratos thanks the man silently for not pressing the manner, after all what would Kratos do if the man knew that he had betrayed the Chosen's group and that they're currently in Tethe' Alla. The same name used for their moon. Kratos gives a small smile and nods his head at the answer to his earlier question. So if this boy is adopted, than he would assume that Fergus would do everything in his power to keep the child from becoming what he is. He can only wish he can do that same for Lloyd. Considering that the boy is half-angel, the first to ever happen, than he wouldn't be surprised if he became one because of the releasing of the seals. After all, the mana that is given to the Chosen to allow her progress to happen happens that way. In sense if the condition were met, Lloyd could become an angel like him through heritage without a Cruxis Crystal. Than there is his exsphere. Kratos down casts his eyes to the floor, not wanting to think of the possibilities that could happen to him. He wouldn't want his only son to live this ageless life as he, to watch many people die before him as they age. "You want to come in for a bit? This isn't exactly a decent place to talk."Kratos quickly gets out of his thoughts and simply nods his head. What could he do tonight? Stand there underneath the stars and count them to waste time like he usually does? It would do him some good to be able to talk to someone. Even if the conversation maybe little because of his awkwardness in conversation. Walking towards the cabin with Fergus, he gives a side glance at the man. "It must be difficult having to take of your son by yourself." Kratos says, his eyes on the doorway. "I can also understand that this form of yours being a slight problem as well.."Awkwardness.... Kratos coughs a little, unsure of how to carry the converstaion with a were-wolf. He was getting into a little personal, and that slightly made him uneasy about those questions. What if Fergus asked Kratos about himself? What could he tell the man? Yeah, I'm a Cruxis Angel. I spend most of my days listening to the commands of boy who's 12 years younger than me, and I other times I spend my days leading little girls to their deaths. Now THAT would be a conversation starter, and perhaps cause a ' little' fight to happen. Nothing to major. Just a little Judgement here and there, than spread his wings and fly away. Nothing too bad, really. Riiiiiiight. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

In return, Fergus also gave a nod to Kratos, and turned to start walking towards the cabin. The same old cabin that he first moved into when he came to Iselia. Not exactly a pretty sight, but the werewolf wasn't picky about it. Besides, it matched the scenery of the forest, and his beastial appearance. He kept looking towards the cabin, though his ear twitched when Kratos began to speak. Fergus listened to the man's words, and the werewolf gave a nod in response once more. "Both of us had to adjust living near Iselia, and it didn't help that this forest is infested with monsters. Though it turned out fine, and we haven't had too much trouble.", the werewolf said, then stayed quiet for a while. He was trying to think of the best response towards the comment about his bipedal wolf form, and eventually continued, "As a matter of fact, when I first found the boy, I was in this form. He knows that I am a werewolf, and has come to not fear this form. I have no reason to hurt someone unless the situation calls for it."
He eventually reached the door to the inside of the cabin, and opened it up carefully. There was no need to use full force unless he wanted to shred it apart from its hinges. Since Kratos was in fact the guest, the werewolf allowed the man to enter first, and followed in afterwords. The inside, like the outside, wasn't much to look at, as it had a small kitchen, which was visible as soon as one walked in, and a side room to the right that wasn't used. On the left was a small room with a table and a couple chairs, most likely used for meals. Fergus motioned Kratos to come to that room, being careful near the stairs as to not wake up his son. A window was placed near the table, the moonlight giving the room a glow that allowed someone to easily see.
The werewolf sat down in the chair furthest away, giving Kratos the option of two empty chairs. One was next to the werewolf's, and the other being across.

"Both of us had to adjust living near Iselia, and it didn't help that this forest is infested with monsters. Though it turned out fine, and we haven't had too much trouble."Kratos nodded his head, thinking of the first cabin he had with Anna and Lloyd. It was small and quaint, just like this one. Out in the forest near Hima, quite a walk to the small village but it was safe from any Human Ranches. It was a sad thing to watch it burn to the ground. No, it wasn't any Desians. Actually the fire attracted the Desians to them, after months of peaceful living. It was that he found out why his wife never cooked for herself and Lloyd. Apparently even after two years, a woman could keep secretes from her husband. So the cabin burned down after a little accident in the kitchen and they continued on to Iselia. Fun~ "As a matter of fact, when I first found the boy, I was in this form. He knows that I am a werewolf, and has come to not fear this form. I have no reason to hurt someone unless the situation calls for it."...Unless the situation calls for it. Hmm...Kratos couldn't help but feel the underline threat in that sentence. Well good thing Kratos isn't here to be a threat actually. Seeing Fergus motion for him to enter the cabin before him, Kratos nods his head and steps into the small cabin. Small, not much furninishings but enough for them to get by with some comfort. Very earthy, but it must be home for them. Seeing the table with the three chairs, Kratos grabs the chair across from Fergus and quitely pulls out it as he sits down. Unstrapping his sword to get a little more comfortable, and precaution, he sets the tip down on the ground and holds it with both hands by the hilt. His shoulders rolling forward, and his back arching in a comfortable position. Not only is it a great defensive position, but it does wonders to your back~ Kratos doesn't look at the man directly, his head turned towards the open window with his hair covering any expression on his face. He wasn't sure what to say or ask next, rather one lame line. "Lovely weather." Kratos says silently, not sure if he should direct it at Fergus or he's just saying that to himself. "Perfect for star gazing."Laaaaaaaameeee...... [/blockquote][/blockquote]
