Fine, I shall tell you my name, wretched human.
OOC Account:ShiningDrake
Name: Mithos Yggdrasill
Gender: Male
Date of Birth: September 11th
Race: Half-elf Angel
Weapon Type and Fighting Style: Mostly uses Martial Arts and magic, but is capable of using swords as well.
Techs:
Judgement
After the incantation "Light in the heavens, heed the call of one who commands you! Obliterate the vile ones who would oppose my rule! Writhe in pain sinners! JUDGEMENT!!!" about fifteen beams of light rain down from the sky randomly, doing insane amounts of damage to whatever it hits.
Death Eater
This is like Judgement, but it is instant with no incantation, and only three or four beams instead of fifteen.
Judgement Ray
Once again, this is like Judgement, and like Death Eater, this is instant. Only one beam is sent down, which makes its power considerably less overwhelming. However, there is a major upside to this version. He can actually aim it, which means that he can actually do an almost guaranteed serious damage attack against one enemy.
Bonds of Hate
This is a forbidden technique, known only to Mithos himself. Mithos infuses his mana into a Cruxis Crystal, with a blood red glyph appearing around it, and uses this chant "Those who shall not obey shall find their very souls sealed out of grasp. Let them watch as they dance on the divine strings of their heavenly puppeteer. They shall bend to my will... Bonds of Hate!" Afterward, Mithos can activate the effect at any time, from any distance. However, it is possible to break this... He can also do this with an Exsphere, but can only activate it if the Exsphere is later turned into a Cruxis Crystal.
There is an alternate usage for this forbidden technique however. Mithos is capable of using it on his own Cruxis Crystal, (He usually flies up into the air to be dramatic) and unleashing the energy in a flash of light, which then pierces the enemies he wishes to in such a way that it appears to indeed be the strings of a puppet. Then, all the light in the area seems to become extremely strange. Like a photonegative (though really, people don't have stuff like that in the Symphonia world) The white light of the "strings" turns black like this. Then, there is what appears to be an explosion of darkness, enveloping everything, and then everything goes white, before returning to what it was... Well, and Mithos' enemies being severely harmed and possibly paralyzed. Strangely, Mithos only seems to be able to use this under very specific circumstances... (Secret tech!)
Indignation Judgement
An incredibly huge glyph appears on the battlefield, with Mithos at the center. Mithos begins the incantation for the spell. "I who rule both living and dead. I who rule heaven, earth, and everything in between. I choose the light and thunder of the heavens as my weapon." Mithos begins rising into the air as he continues speaking, "Ultimate power of heaven, I command you to wipe the slate clean, and destroy all those in my sight. My ire obliterates everything, writhe in pain as your soul itself dies! INDIGNATION JUDGEMENT!!" Huge bolts of lightning do insane amounts of damage to everything within sight, as Mithos' insane laughter rings out...
Retribution
Mithos sings a forbidden song, that makes all enemies listening feel weak and sluggish. As he sings, you can see a shockwave go across the ground in all directions, and ever time it hits an enemy, they feel as if they have been hit by an invisible (somewhat weak) force.
Ray
Mithos chants, "Light which I command, obliterate these fools that oppose me! RAY!" and then an orb of light appears over the target's head. It sends four rays of light out, one after the other, the first three appearing like points of a triangle, and the last one piercing straight down, where the target... Was. There's no guarantee that they waited around to get hit.
Holy Lance
After the incantation, "Divine light of my will, pierce those who fight against me! HOLY LANCE!" a glyph appears underneath the target, rapidly followed but being pierced by numerous small spears of light.
Indignation
After the incantation "I who rule both living and dead, command the heavens as well, to send my fury of thunder. INDIGNATION!" a huge glyph appears around the target, and after about five seconds, a burst of extremely powerful energy does insane damage to everything inside.
Thunder Blade
"Heavenly thunder, unleash my mighty sword of wrath upon this worm! THUNDER BLADE!" This incantation is heard from Mithos shortly before a glyph appears underneath his target, quickly followed by what appears to be a huge sword piercing the center and unleashing powerful lightning.
Ground Dasher
Mithos chants the incantation, "The ruler of heaven commands the earth, to swallow these fools who oppose me, and clear my path. GROUND DASHER!" and the ground underneath and immediately around his target begins glowing with a golden light, and very quickly, erupts into utter chaos of stalagmites and energy bursting forth from the earth, doing major damage to anything affected.
Absolute
Mithos chants, "Biting cold, let the warmth seep out from those who oppose me, and their very souls freeze in eternal agony at their folly. ABSOLUTE!" and a huge ice crystal pierces the target, before shattering into a thousand tiny shards which cut the enemy before fading.
Explosion
"The purifying flames shall destroy you, and let you see my way of truth as it is all too late! EXPLOSION!" This is Mithos' chant, before his target finds itself engulfed in horrible flames, exploding from underneath him.
Flame Lance
Mithos utters the incantation, "Fire of rage, destroy this pitiful fool! FLAME LANCE!" Sure enough, what appears to be a large spear of flames is tossed toward the target, and pierces them,.
Rejection
Mithos releases bright light for about a foot around him in a circle, doing huge amounts of damage to those it touches.
Outburst
Mithos releases a sudden, large and powerful burst of light energy around him, that extends a couple of feet in all directions.
Everyone should become lifeless beings.
Appearance:
True Form
Mithos' child-like face, framed by shoulder-length straight golden hair, and his icy blue eyes, belie the cruelty hidden within him. He has a fairly average build, and wears dark blue pants, along with long white socks, light blue shoes, and a white vest-like garment with light blue edges. This "vest" actually hangs down on the sides, covering the back and sides of his legs.
There are extra pieces of white cloth attached to the "vest" that hang down and look almost like half-sleeves of sorts, though they're really not. There are patterns of light and dark blue on these pieces of cloth, so they aren't plain white.
Mithos has translucent, rainbow-colored wings that he can choose to show or hide at will. These wings really should not allow flight, since they appear to be made of energy rather than actually having physical substance... Magic. That's the only explanation, magic. After all, he made himself into an uber-powerful, ageless being, he must be quite a skilled mage.
Adult Form~ Lord Yggdrasill
The form Mithos normally takes when dealing with other members of Cruxis. Taller and more naturally malicious looking than his true form, it seems almost like he's trying to make up for something here.
This form has even longer blonde hair, reaching beyond the shoulders now, and for some unknown reason, his eyes are green instead of blue now.
In this form, Mithos wears a white leather suit that covers his whole body, except for his chest, head, feet, and hands. There are patterns drawn across it in gold, and the edges of all four sleeves are lined with gold as well. His Cruxis Crystal is proudly displayed on his bare, well-muscled chest, which is one of the few spots not covered by his white leather suit. (He really seems to be showing off quite a bit in this form...)
His energy wings in this form are a translucent purple color, rather than being rainbow-colored. It is unknown why he does any of this... Maybe he has a sort of inferiority complex in a way, and he makes up for it in this form? ...Well, considering that it would be pretty much impossible to have both a god complex and an inferiority complex at once, probably not, but something does seem slightly strange in the contrast between this form and his normal one...
If it weren’t for my sister’s wishes to spare your life, I’d kill you right now.
Personality: Mithos is what you might call... A brat. He is completely selfish, and cares nothing for anyone but himself... Well, and his sister, who he is obsessed with on an almost unnatural level, but even when it comes to her, he's not fully connected with reality. He is controlling and manipulative, and hates it when he doesn't get his way.
Mithos insists on being called "Lord Yggdrasill" In fact, if anyone other than Yuan, Kratos, or Martel calls him by the name "Mithos" then he will kill them without mercy or regret. He seems to have some faint spark of actual emotion hidden deep inside him, but at the same time, he remains completely cruel, and never shows this to anyone.
Mithos hates discrimination, but doesn't seem to understand that the root of the problem isn't race. Instead, it is the arrogance that many people, such as himself have, and the weak hearts of the people who refuse to see the truth. He also doesn't seem to realize that the killing and suffering caused by him is not helping anything in any way, even when he is inflicting it for his own enjoyment. He is an extremely good actor, and sometimes manipulates people who aren't involved with any of his long-term schemes just to amuse himself.
For some strange reason, Mithos utterly hates tomatoes. This goes quite beyond a refusal to eat them, he will destroy any that he finds, usually with powerful spells. If he finds anyone working for him handling tomatoes, he is quite likely to kill them. This irrational hatred began after he began training under Kratos. Mithos doesn't quite remember what happened to cause this...
When he is bored, Mithos becomes... Unpleasant. Thoughts cross his mind of telling his minions to kill each other, know that they'd obey... But also knowing that it would be a very stupid idea to do so. When this happens, he'll sometimes go for a walk through Tethe'alla or Sylvarant... Give a surprise visit to one of the Human Ranches when in the declining world, make his lesser minions there squirm...
Why can you not accept the ideal world I have envisioned?
History: Mithos, and his sister Martel, were both born as half-elves. Viewed with distaste by many members of both races, they were blamed for a major incident that occurred in their hometown of Heimdall, the village of the elves, turned into scapegoats because the others of the village wanted someone to blame. They were exiled, but had nowhere to go.
They ended up hearing about the invasion Sylvarant was going to mount on Tethe'alla, and tried to warn people about it. However, they were ignored due to their race, and when the attack came, the capital fell, defenseless. Mithos and Martel both managed to escape, and met a man named Kratos, who not only seemed to have no problem with their being half-elves, but began teaching Mithos how to be a swordsman and a mage. Oddly, Kratos also managed to get Mithos to become terrified of tomatoes... To this day, Mithos is unsure how exactly this happened, and Kratos doesn't seem to know either... Or won't tell at any rate.
Mithos and Martel, now joined by Kratos, continued trying to find a way to end the war. Despite the capital having been taken, the war raged on fiercely, and there was blood and death everywhere... And many people tried to kill Mithos and Martel due to their being half-elves. With Kratos' help, they stayed alive, somehow.
As their journey continued, they met yet another half-elf, named Yuan. Yuan joined them on their quest. Eventually, during their attempts to stop all of this, the Giant Kharlan Tree became exhausted, unable to supply Mana as rapidly as it was forced to do as the Mana was expended by the magitechnology used in the war.
Mithos managed to make pacts with all of the summon spirits. This included Origin, though this pact had an extra twist. It was made with the help of Kratos, and could only be broken if Kratos released all of the Mana within his body. This special pact was used to create the Eternal Sword, which only a Half-elf that has a pact with Origin could wield. Which basically meant that only Mithos himself could wield it.
Mithos used the Eternal Sword's nearly infinite power to split the countries of Tethe'alla and Sylvarant into two separate worlds, with the assistance of special seals guarded by the other Summon Spirits. Part of his pact with Origin and the other Summon Spirits involved planting the Great Seed of the Giant Kharlan Tree again, so that the worlds might be joined as one again.
Unfortunately, something happened. Soon after these events, a human suddenly came out of nowhere, and struck a blow to Martel before anyone could react. He was quickly slain by Mithos, Kratos, and Yuan however, the wound Martel had sustained was far more than Kratos, who was the only one with healing magic, could help with. Mithos took Martel's dying words of wishing to stop discrimination to heart, but insane with grief, he thought it meant only for half-elves to stop being discriminated against. He believed that all humans other than Kratos, as well as all elves were worthless.
Martel's soul became trapped in the Exsphere she wore. Not only that, the Exsphere suddenly fused with the Great Seed Mithos had with them. Mithos took the Great Seed with him to Derris-Kharlan, and despite his friends' advice, began trying to create an organization to further the goals that were forming in his now insane with grief mind.
Mithos gathered magitechnology, and used it in comjunction with the magic he had become disturbingly good at to lay the foundation for his insane plans. To start with, he made special Exspheres known as Cruxis Crystals, which made their wearers nearly immortal, and ageless. Then, Mithos built a tower up from the land below Derris-Kharlan, that reached all the way to Derris-Kharlan itself. At the top of this tower, he built a city known as Welgaia. Mithos then began gathering half-elves to help fulfill his goals.
After a large amount of hard work, with the help of his somewhat unsure but incredibly loyal friends, Yuan and Kratos, he built up an organization known as Cruxis. The members of Cruxis all had the special Cruxis Crystals to make them immortal. However, Mithos used a special technique to turn the vast majority into puppets, and also genetically altered them to have wings. He, Yuan, and Kratos also had wings, but retractable, and made purely of magical energy.
Then, Mithos built a sub-section of Cruxis, known as "Desians" which would terrorize the humans in whichever world was declining at the time, kidnapping and enslaving them. This was to help with something else however... Mithos would search through both worlds in disguise, and look for pregnant women. When he found one, he would spy on them, and if he thought that between her and her husband, their child would likely be a suitable vessel for Martel, he would use an extremely strange spell, so that the child would be born with a special Cruxis Crystal. If it was in the declining world, and they were still alive when it was finally time for the reversal of Mana, then they would have to be responsible for that reversal of Mana...
Mithos was quite literally insane, which should be rather obvious by the way he went about things. It has been four thousand years since this strange twisted cycle began, and it is time for a Chosen of Mana in Sylvarant to go on the journey for the reversal of Mana again...
It matters not. Your journey is futile.
RP Sample:
Mithos was rather bored right now. Nothing was happening up here, Kratos was rather silent as usual, and Yuan was once again nowhere to be found. Most of his other subordinates were incapable of intelligent conversation, the downside of being turned into mindless puppets.
The few that weren't were still not allowed to bother him, and he didn't feel like taking the trouble to summon one in here. Besides, if one of them got their heads too inflated by the honor of "Lord Yggdrasill" wishing to speak with them, they'd most likely have to be sealed in order to avoid becoming outright annoying or completely incompetent.
Mithos decided that it was about time to send the oracle for the next Chosen to begin her journey. He called one of the angels that still had his soul, Remiel, in. "Remiel, you are to activate the beacon in the Martel Temple, and when the Chosen comes, you shall descend and tell her what she needs to know about the seals and her duty."
Remiel bowed "Yes Lord Yggdrasill." and teleported away, ready to complete his task. Mithos glanced at his silent friend Kratos, "Once this is over, I expect you to kill him." Mithos then got off of his throne. "I will begin the preparations to make the Tower appear." He of course didn't wait for an answer. He teleported back to Welgaia, leaving his throne at Vinheim empty.
Mithos began working the control panel himself to ease his boredom. If it hadn't been about time for the Chosen's journey anyway, he most likely would have searched for someone on one of the worlds to amuse himself. After all, what harm could the cute little child with the blonde hair do? A lot more than people thought, as he could easily knock down entire towns with his bare hands if he wished.
Mithos monitored what was happening with the Chosen. Apparently the oracle had interrupted a class in school the Chosen was in. Mithos somehow found that highly amusing. How boring. At least, until the wounded priest came in, and started talking about Desians attacking. Mithos suddenly shouted "WHAT??!!!!" No doubt it was those Renegades. They had been such a thorn in his side recently. Where was Yuan at a time like this? Oh well, there was still Kratos. It wasn't as if he needed more than him to help with this.
Mithos told one of his soulless angels to deliver a message to Kratos. He was to go down to Sylvarant, and after destroying the Renegades, make sure nothing else interfered with the Chosen's journey. Mithos remained at the control panel, seething as he waited for the perfect time to make the Tower appear. Those stupid Renegades! ...At least he wasn't bored anymore.
I'll show you the meaning of true power.
Note: [/b][/color]The thing about the tomatoes was something I made up. I thought it would be funny after the thing Yomi did on SM, saying that Kratos was allergic to tomatoes XD
Perish!
