.looks<<
Standing 5 feet 11 inches tall, Robin waits impatiently for the day in which he will grow to 6 feet… but unfortunately, that will probably never happen. His ribs look squished, but it’s just the way he holds himself—he has long legs and arms, with chunky fingers and small feet. His face is very round, and he has a small nose that should really be longer for a boy of his age. Robin’s ears are large and stick out noticeably from each side, making him look even younger. He has brown eyes, though in the right light they come off as gray, but it’s hard to catch. He has copper-colored hair, although it’s more on the red side than the copper. It gets very dark at the tips and the roots, which always makes it look shiny. Long bangs hang out in the front, covering his right eye almost completely, where it is thickly gelled and tied back tightly with a gray ribbon. He hates the ponytail and ribbon, but it’s required for his work, and they told him either to pull it back or cut it off. He barely got through letting his bangs over his eye.
As for apparel, Robin’s default uniform for work—which he is almost always wearing—is very simple; a dull, tea-green blazer with one pocket on the left side, where only three of six buttons are buttoned, leaving the rest of the coat to fan out. A plain white dress shirt is worn below, with a bit of frill at the neck tucked in to the blazer. Underneath he wears a large, dark grey belt holding up plain, pressed, grey pants with a clean hem at the bottom. He usually wears mild platform shoes—one and a half inches let him bump up to just over 6 feet. Although, when he’s off of work, he sports a long, dark grey cape with a dark, dark collar that buckles at the front to cover up his ugly uniform.
.personality<<
Robin is a weird kid; he’s stubborn, and eager, and stupid. That’s all there is to say.
His stubbornness makes him incredibly rigid; he doesn’t take anything from anyone, and will never give up on anything. Ever. If he gets kicked out of something, he barges right in unless there’s alcohol involved. And even then he hates being told what to do, and always goes by his own instincts.
His eagerness is brought on from his urge to become a soldier for Palmacosta; not only that, but he longs to get away from his job at an old hotel to go and relax… at the bar. He’s impatient that way also, and is always looking forward to whatever will happen next.
Finally, he’s stupid. He doesn’t really have any self-control at all… or an ego that tells him that doing a particular something is wrong… he just follows exactly what he wants to follow, and does what he wants to do.
And, as one can tell, he loves to drink.
.past<<
Born and raised in Palmacosta, Robin never really got out to see the world. He never really wanted to, either; Palmacosta was just buzzing with interest for him. Ever since he was little, Robin wanted to join the city’s armed forces to fight back against the Desians, and liked to follow them to the training field and pretend to practice too; he’d use a small tree to practice on, swinging a stick around and whatnot. His parents were impressed as his skills improved, and encouraged his interest in the force.
Upon turning fourteen, Robin got his first—and his only—job as a bellboy in Palmacosta’s hotel, taking bags up and down the large staircase every… single… day… and when older ladies came in with their overly-large bags that are heavier than anvills… and then there were the briefcases that just didn’t decide to fit in the space on the staircase between the wall and the railings.
And every day on his way to work, he would pass Palmacosta’s bar, where all of the soldiers would head at the end of the day to drown themselves in wine, and beer, and grog… and he envied them; he wanted to do everything a soldier did, and act like the soldiers did… he just wanted to be a soldier. But his mother wouldn’t even let him step foot on the bar’s deck until he was 21.
On Robin’s 21st Birthday, he took a long-awaited trip into the bar, sat down at a random stool, and said hello to the guy next to him. And Robin smiled at him broadly, simply stating “Today... I am finally 21, and shall drink my heart out! Join me, and let us drown in alcohol till we pass out! It's on me!” where the man had eagerly agreed, and they drank their hearts out, with the man practically shoving beer down the poor kid’s throat. That night couldn't have been better for the poor, pathetic kid; he learned about all types of wonderful alcohol, and thanks to his place under the influence, he couldn't have cared less about how much some of them costed! He woke up the next morning on the bar floor, feeling like there was screaming in his head--and then he heard it in his ear when his mother was standing over him. He still hasn’t heard the end of that.
He had… well, one could say “befriended” that man, whose name was Kai, where they met up almost every day to drink a couple and relax. Commonly, Kai would come around to the hotel and make Robin’s job even harder by tripping him or something along those lines, where eventually he’d throw a punch, and Kai would throw one back, and they’d get into a fight. Then they’d be kicked out of the hotel, and simply they would go to the bar and drown their sorrows away in grog, as they have been doing to this day while Robin waits for the day he is old enough to become a soldier.
