"Must I wear the ears?"
It was a perfectly natural question, given the circumstances. It wasn't every day the Katz Exploration team thought a job too dangerous to do alone. Wandering around Sylvarant, in the most harrowing places in search of landmarks and EX gems was, after all, part of their job. It was the unique nature of the job, however, as well as the intristic danger, that forced the strange pajama-clad men to reconsider.
The Heart of Sylvarant, an emphatically named gem that supposedly dated back to ancient times. It passed along from person to person, supposedly landing in the hands of Desians, then stolen by crafty thieves, and finally wound up here. It has no special properties, no magical powers, no nothing.
So suffice it to say, raiding a booby-trapped holy place which may or may not be a thieve's den for a pretty rock wasn't exactly the Team's favorite assignment. So they decided to outsource it to a group of individuals thirsty for adventure and excitement.
And Furlow, a bear of a man who honestly had no other employment. "Not that it's a problem, but... those ears aren't exactly intimidating, y'know?"

Ears....?
Inshi closely examines the ears given to her. Unsure of what to do with them exactly. Just as there are Katz explorers in Tethe' Alla, they are as well in this strange world of Sylvarant. Katz of course are cute creatures that reseamble that of a cat, which is one of her favorite animals. The only animal she actually likes. Turning the ears over once more, she looks up with her blank clueless expression at the large man to the side of her. Asking questions of whether he has to wear them or not. Though she does have to admit that they aren't exactly the most intimidating accessory ever, but they are cute. Not wanting to wear them what so ever, she tosses the ears behind her without a care. After all she doesn't want to wear them, so why hold on to it? Casually shifting her sword and sheath on her back to a more comfortable position, she walks forward with the sound of her armor clanking on the ground loudly. Clank clank clank clank clankHer gray cloak swishes around her silently unlike her silver armor. Her shapr violet eyes scanning around the area with caution. The sway of her walking being that of a man; legs spread apart and her arms swinging apart from her body to not scrap the armor together. Inshi had over heard the many adventurers about this place. The Balacurf Mausoleum they called it. It's apparently the grave of a nation from what she got from their conversation. Layed with dozen of traps and the hall ways being like that of maze; she knows she's going to have to be careful when going in. With that, someone must be lying there in wait. A perfect place to ambush someone, and the perfect place for members of the search team to 'lose their way'. With that she concludes to be in the back, to keep an eye on someone. She may be ambushed from that, but she's more that strong enough to crush anyone in their attempts. After all she is over six feet tall, and weighing around 160 pounds. The weight being her muscle of course. Feeling someone tap on her back, she turns around to find one of the Katz explorers smiling up at her. Blinking at the Katz presense, she quietly waits for the Katz to speak to her first. "Hi! You must be Inshi, correct?" The Katz asks happily. Inshi nods her head in reply. Holding something his hands; he shows it to Inshi who merely blinks in question at the object. "This is a compass to help you guys in your search!"Standing there for a second before realizing that she's to take it, she gently takes the object and nods her head in reply. Turning away to look at it, she looks around to f ind someone to give it to. Sure she knows how to use it, but she's pretty sure someone else could use it better than she. Finding the big burley man before her, she walks towards the man and holds out the compass towards the man. Her face not giving away to indication of what she's doing, merely staying in a blank expression. Her own height almost riviling that of Furlow's; no idication of her expession saying that she's intimidated with this man. After all, she's dealt with rude papal knights of Tethe' Alla. She's pretty sure she can handle this man. Unsure if he gets what she's trying to say, she merely says one word. Enough for him to get the idea. Hopefully. "Compass?" She asks with her monotony voice. Her attempt at a conversation.

"Eh?" Furlow was engrossed in the dillemma of the ears when he was approached by a stranger with a compass. "Um... thanks." Taking it from her, he took a moment to look at it, trying to remember its function in his little adventure. Furlow was a "Follow the sun, moss on trees, deer trail" kind of guy; his experience inside dungeons was practically non-existent.
"That armor of yours looks relatively new. You a greenhorn or just went shopping recently?" He shrugged. "Not that I'm a veteran myself, but I've gotten a few nicks and scratches on the ol' battle-axe." He showed off the almost comically huge weapon on his back, which for all the world looked like a monster had been chewing on it like a bone the past week.
He smiled crookedly. "Guess we're gonna be working together on this. You watch my back, I'll watch yours. Name's Furlow. Furlow Satz." He held out his hand for a standard shake. Normally, he would have either tried to go for intimidation or a teacherly approach, as he normally does with potential enemies or strangers that seem new to the adventuring game. But this young man (and he had no reason to doubt it was a young man behind the armor) seemed like an equal, and Furlow promised himself to treat equals like equals. Besides, one never knows when you might need someone you pissed off.
Comments: Glad yer workin' with meh. :3

"Um... thanks."
Inshi nod her head in reply to Furlow's thanks. Tilting her head slightly in wonder at Furlow looking at the compass with a sort of confusion. From what she can tell, it's like he's trying to figure it out. Perhaps she shouldn't have given the compass to the man, but then again. The reason she gave away the compass was because she didn't want to have to keep her attention on it and find herself in a peculiar predicament. It would be quiet unfortunate for her.
"That armor of yours looks relatively new. You a greenhorn or just went shopping recently?"
Looking down at her armor, she blinks in confusion. This armor is quiet old, she just happens to take good care of it. Practicly polishing it every second she can, and she's learn not to stand around to get hit. Since she's in a new world, a steady income isn't something that's happen to her. Quiet frankly, she doesn't have the money to replace this armor for a new one.
Looking up at Furlow, she accidnetly doesn't catch what he says next but looks at the axe he pointed at. Looking at it, she could tell that Furlow had been a lot of fights. So no doubt he can take care of himself. Meaning she won't have to worry all the time.
"Guess we're gonna be working together on this. You watch my back, I'll watch yours. Name's Furlow. Furlow Satz."
Inshi doesn't attempt at smile in reply to Furlow's crooked smile. She never smiles, at the least. Even if she attempts a smile. It only looks like she has a stick stuck up her butt. Which shows that it's pretty much a grimace.
Seeing the held out hand, she grasps it and gives a firm shake. Something she's learned a lot of men to do. Perhaps a way to show their strength or something. Maybe they just do it for a greety. Inshi never really understood.
"Inshi Meira," Inshi replies monotony.
"Here!"
Inshi lets go of Furlow's hand to see one of the Katz standing to the side of her. Holding a pair of pink ears. Glancing at the ears and back to the Katz. The Katz merely smiles and holds it out to her. Taking it in one hand, she observes it as it is limply held in her hand. Glancing back at the Katz, he indicates for her to put them on.
Remembering that these were the ears that she threw away a few minutes ago. She nonchalontly tosses it behind her and walks towards the entrence of the Balacurf Mausoleum. Stopping to see an older looking Katz at the entrence. Is he here to give them a breifing?
Comments:: D8 I'm soooo sorry for the late reply. .___. I had taken a week rest from RPing and totally forgot to tell everyone. Gomen D8
