Imagine the Grand Tethe'alla bridge, one of the largest engineering feats of the modern world. Forming a well-worn path between continents, it has no shelter, no hiding spots, no avenues of escape save the ocean on either side.
It was the last place, therefore, to expect Gran Rio to appear. Decked out in his finest apparel, he spared no effort to announce his presence, even in such a mundane, uninhabited locale. For that was the modus operandi of the finest thief Meltokio had ever seen; eluding the grasp of those clunky guards even when he shakes his tassled behind in plain sight.
He laughed, a giant hearty laugh, at his own deviousness. Surely Meltokio's elite would sleep more soundly knowing he was off on "vacation." Of course, he would soon become another city's problem and blessing. He wondered if far-off lands knew of his exploits.
"Wa! Ha ha ha ha haaaaaah!" This was the beginning of his interesting journey. Who knows who or what could be waiting for him.

Black boots scuff upon the long gray bridge. Keeping a steady beat as they rush along the Grand Tethe' Alla Bridge. The owner of the boots exhaling and inhaling through her nose. The white puff of smoke curling from her pale white nose; the sign of winter approaching quickly. The air being cold enough to make the hot air from a person's breath condense into little puffs of white smoke, yet warm enough for it not to snow. The brilliant blue sky sparkls high above. Nay a small speck of cloud evident in the vibrant blue sky.
The woman's arms pump beside her body; the muscles in her body contracting and retracting after every thudded step she takes along the path. Her pale white skin eluminates in the bright sun with her gray cloack billowing around her body. Displaying the black top, black shorts, fishneting on her legs and on her arms.
Looking behind her for a short while, a devious smile places itself onto the woman's lips. The large pouch still held tightly in her fingerless black gloved hand. Turning her head quickly back to the front, her eyes widen a fraction as her reflexes fail her at this point. Her body braceses itself as she expects to run into the man; her eyes getting a glance at the finely made cloths of his.
Jackpot~?

Gran Rio regarded the young woman with masked amusement. Artificially heightened powers of perception and years of life among the criminal element set off warning signals, a sort of thieves' intuition. He might have taken the effort to dodge, probably in some spectacular fashion, but he saw no harm in letting her bump into him. His Gald was safely stored away, and the only bag that was visible was a dummy bag, filled with harmless fireworks to infuriate pick-pockets.
As he and the stranger collided, he held out his arms to catch the young lady and maybe detain her for a moment. "Haste does not suit my lady." He declared as though it were a fact. His beaming smile raised the half-mask over his eyes slightly. "How are we this fine morning?"
Comments: Heya. Been getting warm reception all around. xD

Angie is a clumsy lady; a trait that most thieves would hate to have. Though Angie of course had gotten use to it and has always found a way to put it to good use. Like triping into a man's hands, rushing out apoligise likes it's nothing while also stealing the man's treasures. Usually the Gald. Though on this moment, some kind of warning sign beeped into her head, the one most thieves have named common sense, signinaling for her to forget about stealing from the man.
Not only does she have a pouch of Gald in her hands right now, but there might be still some guards 'attempting' to aprehend her at this moment. They're no doubt still winded about the long bridge, and if anything, she can rush towards the other end near Meltokio and 'accidently' cause the bridge to come up from under their feet. That of course causes for great timing and only a few would be too stupid or slow to get out of the way.
Catching what the man says, she merely smiles and gently nudges out of the man's arms. Not liking the feeling of someone having their hands on her. Usually that only happens when they want to send her to jail. Like that'll ever happen. Laughing at Rio's question, she cooly slips her gald behind her back and secures it tightly. Her hand brushing the sword at her back. Her sweet smiling indicating that if he so tried to steal her gald pouch, she'll poke holes in him.
"Exceptionally well, good sir" Angie says with a sort of tone to 'good'. Being a thief herself, she can easily point out a thief when she sees one. Even if they dress like an ordinary person, or this man's case, a well dressed man of high esteeme. "How may ye be?"
Angie's smile never leaves her face, her eyes twinkling with delight. She may have fun yet!
Comments:: Sorry for the late reply .___. wasn't so sure on what to do next, but I got it~

Rio smiled like the typical noble rube, noting the dummy bag was still on his hip. The two seemed to have reached an unspoken concensus of each other, recognizing that they were both "colleagues" after the same goal. However, it was hardly sporting to just come out and admit one's profession, even if they were all alone on this bridge.
"Ah, I do well, thank you." He leaned against the rail, looking out over the water and making the bag on his side painfully obvious. "I have taken to traveling. Exploring the world, seeing rare treasures, both with monetary value and those more... undefinable and... priceless." He fixed his colleague with a stare dripping with unabashed charm before returning his gaze to the ocean, exposing his "vulnerable" wallet once again.
Comments: No worries. It happens; in fact it just happened with me in another RP.

Angie's eyes caught the exposure of his Gald from the corner of her eye. Her eyes unmoving from nothing other than his face; that ear to ear smile stationed on her face. The way he just showed it out there for a moment almost seemed like he was baiting her to try and steal it. She merely just shot that idea from her head, not even wanting to even try. After all, was he trying to test the level of his 'collegue'?
She watches the man lean on the railing, his words pouring out and boring her at the least. The way he bragged made her thoughts of him being a thief as well more painfully obvious than before. His words goading her at making her seem pretty petty against him. The wallet appearing once more as he looks out into the ocean.
Leaning against the rail with her back to it as well, her mind quickly thinks over why he would just display his wallet so openly if he know she's a thief. Why would a thief just openly show something they work hard to getting? Maybe he was testing her, or maybe he knows it's a fake and not worth much really.
"It must be tiring, correct?" Angie asks, looking at Rio with a side glance before settingling towards the skies. "For I've traveled around a lot, to places you would never dream of."
The last sentence indicating the Sylvaranti world. After all, Rio has never been there to see the treasures there. Though very out dated, the artifacts there are quite pricless. That also means their security is pretty low, making it easy for a thief of Tethe' Alla to get what she wants.
Leaning close to Rio she gives a wink.
"Best keep that hidden, for fear of losing it." She says with a playful tone. The statement not indicating she would to an outsider, but if he knew best. He wouldn't try goading her any more. "Someone might get hurt."

"Oh..." Rio blushed, surprised that his methods failed so completely. Subtlety was never his strong suit, but he had figured that, if anything, the young lady would be willing to play along. "Well, thank you for that, miss. With all the bandits on the roads, I hardly would want to lose what's in this bag. Couldn't quite do my job without them." He gave her a level stare. "Places I could never dream of? My dear miss, you sound like a bard talking with such wistful tones. To be perfectly honest, I am perfectly new with the concept of traveling, so it hasn't gotten tedious just yet. I've just come from Meltokio; perhaps you've heard of me."
Pushing off of the wall, he bowed with a regal air and produced a card. There was no writing on it, only the picture of his mask. "Rio's the name. Gran Rio. Charismatic and well-liked, at least by most of the city. Then again, there is no job in the world where one doesn't make enemies. Isn't that right, miss?" Although there was the lightest hint of an accusation in his voice, he spoke with the humor and detachment of your average tourist making conversation. At this point, he made no pretense to hide his profession, but he merely avoided using the word "thief." Having no idea where this conversation with a rival would lead, he was prepared for virtually anything.
