Cathartic Requiem
[/font]A Tales of the Abyss Roleplay[/font][/center]
Overview:
Cathartic Requiem is a Tales of the Abyss roleplay that continues where the game's story ended. Canon characters (from both Tales of the Abyss and other "Tales of" series) are accepted and encouraged.
Status:
We just opened, so there is minimal activity due to a general lack of members. Also, we still have several canon character positions that need to be filled.
Level:
Cathartic Requiem expects members to write grammatically correct sentences. We also expect at the very least a basic ability to write creatively.
Other Information:
Cathartic Requiem is going to try its hand at a few extra features such as character journals in which roleplayers can make in-character entries regarding whatever topics they wish (so long as they conform to the basic forum rules).
Plot:
The combined efforts of Kimlasca, Malkuth, and Daath have freed the world from the Score, stopped the miasma from spreading, and even averted an apocalypse. The world is saved, right?
Not necessarily.
Now, the inhabitants of Auldrant have had their ways of life forcefully ripped away when those so-called heroes eliminated the Score and the Planet Storm. Some understood the circumstances that led to this decision. However, not everyone was willing to sacrifice the security of predestination. To add to their troubles, without the Planet Storm, the power of Fonic Artes and fontech is waning. Now, after relying on the same source of power for centuries, they must find a new source to power their technology. While some people enjoy carving their own destinies and creating their own technologies, there are still many who wish that life would return to the way it once was.
Desperate to return Auldrant to its former glory, disappointed individuals have gathered in order to restore the Score and the Planet Storm. While they currently remain harmless, they are fiercely determined and are willing to resort to any measures--rebellion included--in order to restore world order.
Malkuth and Kimlasca barely avoided war with one another, but it would seem now that they are destined to go to battle, even if it is through civil war.
