Rena and Vince Findining thier way...
Cold! It was bitter cold. But, it was summer? What was with that? This place wasn't too far north, and other northern parts of the world like Ozette weren't this cold in the winter. Darker clouds covered the sky, and light flakes of pure white fell from each one. They came by the thousands, each one perfectly different from the other, and chillingly cold to the touch, even though they were so small that thier cold was hardly even noticable.
"Oniisan!"
a small voice squealed. Small feet also began to dash over the snow, leaving light prints with a small gait. "Look! Look at what's falling from the sky! What is it?" The young ribbon-wearing girl cried, staring up at the flakes with huge amethyst eyes. Her older brother gave a little chuckle, his hands in his pockets as he walked slowly across the snow, his prints much larger than that of the girl's. "It's snow, Rena," he said gently. Blinking as one landed in her eye, Rena rubbed it out with the back of her hand and gave a childish laugh, running around with her arms out, listening to her shoes crunch under the snow. She then lost her balance, falling backward. Her cloak flew up, nearly lifting from her shoulders, where she felt the back of her dress collide with the snow. It was a soft fall, but a shockingly cold feeling shot up her spine. Suddenly snapping back up to her feet, she stammered, "S-s-so c-c-cold, Vince! It's s-s-s-so... c-cold!" A playful laugh erupted from the older boy, and he replied, "It's snow, Rena. It's made of ice!" He then stepped over to brush off his sister's back, and helped her straighten out her cloak. "You're so clumsy, Rena." Rena smiled, blushing a bit as her older brother helped her. Looking up, she caught a single flake on her hand, looking at the beautiful pattern on it before it melted away. "Why does it melt in my hand? My hand is cold, right? to test out how cold her hands were, she brought hers to Vince's, where he flinched at the frigid surface. But her hands were always cold. "Ha, you're a healer. You're supposed to know that," he laughed, bonking her lightly on the head with the back of his fist. "Your body has a naturally high temperature, and what's cold is you skin--not your hand. Thus, your body emits such a temperature, which causes the flake to melt in your hand." Nodding with understanding, the young girl caught another one and watched it melt. "Then why isn't my hand warm?" she laughed, and then continued on excitedly. Vince followed, a light smile on his face. He was always overjoyed when Rena was introduced to something new; she would get so excited and have a huge smile on her face. Seeing her happy gave him a sense of pride and accomplishment--he only wished that she could be more like that all of the time, even around humans. "Vince! Vince, look there's a big terrace up there! I wanna go see! Can we go see?" Rena sqeualed, dashing back over with her dress and cloak flapping behind her. She tugged on his sleeve as usual as she asked, her eyes bright and interested. Sighing with a sence of humor, Vince replied, "My, my. You have too much energy for me... I'll tell ya. I wish I knew where you got it," he scratched the back of his head, and looked up at the platform. "Sure, let's go see. I bet the view is amazing." The two headed through the city, past the doctor's office and the food stand. Rena made a mental note about the doctor's office--maybe he knew some interesting healing techniques he could share. They then headed up the small staircases, and she resisted the urge to wander into the accessory shop. They both stared in awe at the Church of Martel that stood up here. "That's one impressive building," Vince murmured. "Yeah," Rena agreed, though a bit sadly. She then brightened as she saw all of the architecture work and the stained glass windows. "Ah! Look, look! Look at the windows! Vince, is this the biggest Church of Martel in the world?" The young man dimmed a bit. "No. The largest is in Meltokio. In the upper ring."Rena's happy expression faded, as well. "Oh," she replied simply. Turning around, she rushed over to the terrace, grabbing onto the railing and jumping to look at the amazing view of the city. "Ah! This is amazing! Vince! Vince come se--" she stopped abruptly as she saw a human standing here also. Her expression went blank, almost fearful. She simply turned to look through the railings at the city again. Vince followed over, shooting a cautious glance at the girl. Human. Wait--that's that girl that all of the people have been talking about. That's... Sylvarant's Chosen... he almost froze, but was careful to conceal his worry in front of Rena. He simply placed a hand on her shoulder and looked out as well. ooc Word Count: 834 Comments: Ahh, I couldn't beat yah xD Aw well, I did my best. I love Rena though, she's so cute <33 [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Rena and Vince Findining thier way...
The pretty blonde girl seemed to notice Rena at the same moment she did, and the girl appologized almost instantly. "No, no! It's fine... it's my fault,"
Rena tried to smile at her, but it was almost fearful or guilty. Despite the fact that she should be too young to feel guilt. Vince had a chilling feeling running through him, the voices of the chattering people in all of the villages and the Houses of Guidance speaking to eachother about Sylvarant's Chosen. "Why is she here in the first place? She's from the hellish land of Sylvarant! She can only bring death!" "Maybe she came to escape that awful place." "The World Regeneration must have been too difficult for her, so she ran away!" "Let's just hope our Chosen never has to do that." "I heard she nearly killed him!" He knew that he shouldn't be letting secondary opinions trouble him, but it was kind of difficult. Out of the corner of his eye, he stared at her, noticing her gentle expression and her apparen that resembled Rena's to a degree. She's pretty... Rena thought, unable to help but gaze up at the pretty blonde girl. She then felt Vince lean down to her, whispering, "That's Sylvarant's Chosen... don't say anything, though." She nodded, a bit sadly. The young man then straightened back up as the girl's voice reached his ears, and he tried to fix his gaze straight ahead at the snowy scene, replying flatly and a little stiffly, "Yes, it is very nice." Rena then couldn't help but challenge her brother. She hated when he was all boring like that. Turning around to face him, her cloak spinning around her neck a bit and getting out of place, she quickly fixed it before staring up at him. "Viiiiiiiiiiince!" she huffed in a whining tone. Flinching, Vince was either incredibly paranoid about the Chosen standing next to him with his sister acting like a spoiled child or he was embarassed that his sister was tugging on the front of his jacket with a pout on her face. Lightly he snapped, "Rena... what is it?!" his gaze accidentally flicking to the Sylvaranti girl standing next to him. The little girl puffed out her cheeks, and clawed at Vince, squealing, "It's SOOO much more than nice, dummy! It's so pretty and white and flaky and snowy!! And you knoooow that!! Oohh! I hate it when you get all weird around huma--" catching herself a little too late, Rena ended her sentence abrubtly, her eyes shooting wide open to the size of full moons. She then looked from Colette to her brother, and back again, and then remembered what Vince would always say. "Rena, you bigmouth... you're always burting things out without thinking! Here, the next time you catch yourself too late, don't go digging into my shirt like usual... instead, just go back to what you were doing, and act like it didn't even happen." She then just turned around, looking back to the lovely Flanoir scene that stretched ahead of them, her hands tightly gripped on the cold railings to stop her hands from shaking in fear. Vince sighed. ooc Word count: 529 Comments: Don't worry about the legnth xD It's all about quality, anyway! You play Colette really well, though x3[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Born as a human, to die as a human. Reborn as an angel, to only be cursed. Too Broken to fly, but too strong to cry. To walk this path, is to never turn back. Cherish the Angel
Snow, the cold, and the cloudy sky; it all seems so gloomy and foreboding, but to Angie it’s heaven. It's a gift from Celsius, to show the lovely patterns of the snow flakes. How intricate each flake is, but each their own design. Never is there one that is the same; how much beauty a tiny little thing can have. It always fascinated her as to how the summon spirit of ice did it; did the summon spirit devote her time to each flake as she slumbers or was it just something that naturally happens? The reasoning always intrigued her to no end; so she just left it as a question to ask the summon spirit herself once Celsius has awoken. She's pretty sure that she has all the time in the world; she'll just have to be careful and not die anytime soon.
The silver hair woman gives a sigh as her breath curls out of her mouth. Her black boots crunching in the snow, she walks through the deserted streets as her silver hair trails behind her in waves. Repositioning her cloak around her nearly bare body, she quickly makes her way up the stairs. Flashes of blue tint skin glows in the rising sun, the cold biting at her skin. The cold did not bother at the very least, it was soothing actually.
It was nice to visit the snowy city, and look at the ancient buildings; to actually see stone instead of blue and silver metal. It was a bore to be stuck in the base, quite dreadful actually; she couldn't understand how many of the soldiers could stand staying in that boring place. Placing her hand on the wing pack, her hand slides on the chain sword securely fasten to her belt. She knows she won't catch into any trouble in the city, quite when she makes her trek out into the snowy wasteland perhaps; but that was highly unlikely. Considering the only monster anywhere near Flanoir would be near the ice temple, even then any thieves would be mad to try and live in such an environment.
Why is she here in the first place? She's from the hellish land of Sylvarant! She can only bring death!" "Maybe she came to escape that awful place." "The World Regeneration must have been too difficult for her, so she ran away!" "Let's just hope our Chosen never has to do that." "I heard she nearly killed him!"
Angie's icy blue eyes flash at the people who talked, her eyes narrowing. Completely oblivious to the fact that they were talking about the Sylvarant chosen, her teeth clench at their impudence. She never liked people talking so harshly about someone, based on petty gossip. Sharply turning, as her cloak billows around her frame. Showing her short black shorts and black shirt that doesn't even cover her stomach. She gives the people a glare, but smile on her face, nevertheless.
"You should not base assumptions on people you don't know." she sweetly snaps at the group of people. Turning to a brown hair woman, she slants her head to the side in an innocent manner. "Have you ever been to Sylvarant?"
"Uh... n-no..." "So then, how would you know what Sylvarant is like, for all you know the person who told you such a thing could be lying! Have you met the chosen?" "ah...n-no I haven't..." "So how would you know her attentions of leaving Sylvarant, she could have many reasons to have left. All that is not that." she says, all she said to the woman giving an icy tone but with a smile nevertheless. Feeling fed up with these ignorant people, she turns to walk towards the terrace before turning to give a smile to the group of people. "Oh and the Tethe 'Alla chosen is nothing more then a perverted, flirting, coward."
Turning once more back to the railing, she kept up her smile looking out towards the view of the city. Letting the quite falling snow flakes to suppress her pumping blood; to cool her down. Closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, she let herself float. Exhaling the deep breath, she opens her eyes to catch the sight of blonde.
Oh Origin, she is right next to the Chosen of Sylvarant. She just defended the chosen in some insults that were directed to her. Looking at the blonde girl, she sees the softness in her face and pure innocents. What's even worse; is that she's to kill her. Blinking a few times, she stares at the chosen. She quickly takes a step back, only to catch her cloak and slip right under herself; grabbing onto the closest thing to her, the chosen. Coming to a full crash onto the ground, she groans her iron tight grip on the chosen not loosening what so every. Closing her eyes from the fall, she peaks through one eye. Word count: 824 Comments: Yeah, you’re really good at Rping Colette, I’m completely entranced. You completely capture her personality, and those part where that were never truly explained; you make it fit perfectly.[/blockquote]

Rena and Vince Wait... what? "Are you here on a trip?"
What was that supposed to mean? Vince almost seemed ticked-off by such an odd comment. More confused, than anything, though. A trip? What's a trip?! I thought 'trip' meant 'to fall'. Is she asking us if we're here to fall down? Is that what Sylvarant people are like? But.. she said 'on a trip'.
Rena looked up at the girl with large, partly-confused eyes. Trip? The two of them had no idea what that meant. They'd been wandering around so long, they forgot the usage of many casual terms that many people used, such as "vacation" or "break" or "work" [as in, going to work]. "Like... a pilgramage?" that was the only thing she could relate the term "trip" to. They were just constantly moving around the world to keep from being persued... did that count as a "trip"? Or was that strictly religious? She couldn't remember. That's what Vince said a lot of people who rested at Houses of Guidance were on. Were they, too, on a pilgramage? The small girl didn't know the exact meaning of the term... though she never remembered Vince teaching her a religion of any sort. Of course, sometimes she spotted him praying at the satues of Martel. Martel..."I'm afraid I don't understand the question," Vince stammered quietly. He wouldn't have had enough time to try and ponder the meaning of such an unusual word, anyway. Though it was hardly in his nature to reject some sort of question, he was forced to ask. I wonder if that's why SHE'S here... he realized, thinking along the same lines as Rena at the fact that the Chosen might be pilgramaging or something. The siblings then jumped nervously as the Chosen fell to the ground along with another person... and not soon after a third person wearing red. "Kyaa!" Rena shrieked at the... disaster of clumsiness. Also at the fact that there were now so many people around her... she could feel her heartbeat pounding in her ears. The girl didn't seem to mind or notice... but... we still might be found out or something by these other two. Though, the boy in red doesn't look like someone who would... ... then again... that other person. She has a strange aura about her..."Aah..." Vince was lost, confused, frozen. He wasn't good in social situations, nor had he learned how to deal with them. Reaching out a hand to the other young lady who had fallen to help her up, he felt Rena tugging on his sleeve, burying her face into his jacket. Relax, Rena... he sighed mentally. She always got so afraid in these situations. Besides, he was just helping up a lady. That was practically required of a gentleman, right? Ettiquete, right? That's what his father had always told him. Rena always got so tense when he was around women. He couldn't help but wonder why. The small girl peered around at the situation, at the strange lady in the cloak, the Chosen, and now the strange boy in red, who seemed very hyper and... not the smartest. "Well, hey there!" he had said, waving. Rena blinked, and gave a timid wave back. She noticed that Vince did and said nothing. For the two half-elves, the situation was very tense, and possibly dangerous. "Vince... do we have to leave?" Rena whispered almost silently to her brother. "Possibly," he replied, his voice even quieter--and slightly trembling. He felt Rena grip him harder, her tiny fingers digging into his arm and side. He needed to get her something else to hug and tug on or something... the stictches of his shirt had already been stretched pretty badly... ooc word count: 612 comments: Hi Toast =o lots of people in this thread! [Dreams] I ‘wish’
Would become -Real- [/blockquote][/blockquote] Angie lays there still dazed from the fall, watching as the chosen got up with a little awkward laugh; she immediately notices the hand held out to her. Angie blinks a few times, unsure of to take the chosen's hand let her help her up while at the same time driving her sword into the teens gut or to just let her help her up. She feels so unsure of herself, listen to the voice in her head saying that the chosen is a nice girl and kill her would solve nothing at the moment or to follow her orders. All she knows right now is the fact that her hip hurts from where she landed on.
Just my luck, finally after being able to leave the hospital ward of the base; I end up bruising myself horribly. "No it's my fault, I'm sorry for pulling you down with me." Angie says with a nervous laugh. Her grim face soon turns into a smile, as she chuckles when a re clad boy comes tackling the chosen and pretty much throwing each other to the ground harshly. Her eyes caught the brunette's twin swords, warning signs ringing in her head. If she is to murder... no kill the chosen here, she knows she's going to have to go through the kid first. Getting up into a sitting position she slowly pulls herself up, her sensitive ears catching the half-elves conversation. Her being around half-elves most of the majority of her time has trained her to know one right off. Their mana signature being a normal thing to her, she smiles widely to the two. "Hi," she says warmly to the two as she steps forward towards the railing. Wincing at the motion, her hand slowly massages the sore bruise. What I'd kill to have a healer right about now Making sure to keep the chosen and that boy in sight, she positions herself so that she could also see the two half-elves. "You two sure don't look like your are from around here, so what brings you here to the snowy city of Flanoir?" She asks, a little curious. She wouldn't be surprise if they were running away from persecution of humans, which was usually the case for those who joined the base. Other times some half-elves would find themselves in the bottom of research labs, stuck there to do boring stuff that she really would not like. Turning towards the city, the four still in her peripheral vision; she takes a deep breath and exhales as a fog curls from her lips. "Did you know, that every snowflake is it's own. They're just like people, their own intricate designs are different from all the others. There is never the same exact one, perhaps some same designs but they are their own. Just like people, everyone looks the different but if you think about it every snowflake is the same just like people. Sure they are different from the outside, but each is made of the same thing inside. Like snowflakes are made of frozen rain, and people are pretty much made out of the same chemicals." she says, her hand catching a snowflake as it melts she smiles at it. Smiling at Rena, she catches another snowflake and shows it to her; as the flake slowly melts. "Maybe we are all different on the outside, by looks or species; but we all have a soul, we all have a heart, and we all have dreams. Sometimes our dreams become reality and sometimes they don't. One of my dreams is that everyone can live peacefully together, so there would be no wars and no prejudice because of the color of our skin, our ranks in society, or our species. Where everyone's heart is one."Angie smiles at the little girl, and that's what she believes. Her childhood was never the best, nor was others. To make your dream a reality, you have to fight for it. If you think its right, then you should fight for it. Though sometimes, some dreams can become twisted and not help people. That's what is happening with Cruxis, and that's why she'll fight till the end. Age of the lifeless beings, what a joke. That would be just taking away our free will, to take away everyone's humanity. Realizing that her smile had slipped and that she was solemnly looking out towards the city, she turns towards Rena and smiles apologetically. "Do you have a dream?" she asks the older half-elf. Setting a hand on her hip, wincing again at the pain, she turns to look at the chosen and the red teen. Her head keeps ringing warning signs, each times she looks at the brunette; each time she dismisses it until now. Something’s wrong, something about that guy I should know. Perhaps if I get his name, maybe I'll remember. Origin knows I have a horrible memory."Hey, I'm sorry about before Chosen." She says sweetly, placing a hand in front of her to shake. "I'm Angie, Angie Cherish."[/blockquote] Word Count: 847 Comments: Well there you go, and ‘Ello Toast. This is going to be very interesting, that I’m sure of. ^~^ o.o and Pai I'm unsure of who Vince is holding his hand out to, so I'm just going to make it seem like Angie didn't notice. ^^;

Rena and Vince Oh, what next... "That or... just a vacation?"
Rena blinked. She turned to her brother and asked, "Vince, what's a vakayshon?"
her eyes were big and round as usual, and full of curiosity. "Is it a type of vegetable?" now, it was pretty much impossible to tell where such a connection as that had come from. Maybe the "V" reseblance? "Or... maybe a fruit? What color is it?" Her brother looked at her like she was crazy. How could she have made that connection in her brain!? It just didn't work! Then again, Rena didn't have a lot of common sense, nor did she know of things like vacation. Vince had never bothered to teach her things like that anyway. He just wanted to know how she could put these things together. Once she had assumed that a sea slug was a type of mountain bird. Of course, that one was a little more understandable than this one... The words, "Don't go!" reached Rena's ears afterword, snapping her out of her strange thought process. The Chosen had overheard thier conversation?! But... how? No one could hear them whisper... right? Unless... the Chosen was... inhuman? Or had some strange powers? Or something? Vince was also stunned by the words, and replied simply, "Aah... alright." he was a bit hesistant; most of the time "Don't go!"'s were nothing but a trap. But, this was the Chosen... from Sylvarant... she couldn't do harm... right? "Hi."Rena turned around, letting go of Vince's shirt as she looked at the older girl getting up and smiling at her. Smiling guiltily, the young girl replied. "Um... hi!" she replied, a bit nervously. Though, she then noticed the girl's condition--looking at each bruise and scrape with large eyes. She then went over to Vince and looked up at him, her eyes pleading. He knew exactly what she meant--she only made that face when she wanted to do that. Glancing to the "victim", he concluded that she didn't seem to be too dangerous-looking... though she had a strange mana to her. A little odd, but he could put that aside. Looking back to Rena's cute expression, he sighed. He always had to give in to that look. "Alright... go ahead." Brightening immensely, the young girl reached into her cloak, pulling out her spinning top from a secret inside pocket. Zipping the tie through the base, she began to concentrate her mana as she wound up the top, her eyes never leaving it. A white magic circle then began to fade in under her feet as the spell progressed, and then finally she pulled out the tie with a sudden movement, sending the winged part of the top soaring, and the other part spinning on the ground. Between the two parts formed a ball of energy, where Rena called out, "First Aid!" as they reached over to the injured girl. Vince smirked, proud of her sister. She'd become pretty good at healing, considering how bad she was when she first started. Rena would use him as a practice dummy, and would a lot of the time screw up and wind up paralyzing him or something... Though, the mysterious woman then noticed that they weren't Flanoir... and why they were there in the first place. Vince scolded himself in his mind; he should have been prepared for that question, but he wasn't able to multi-task enough to think of something beforehand. "We're uh... travelers. We stopped in to get some supplies," he said, trying to keep his voice from shaking. It wasn't a complete lie, either--they technically were travelers and they were stopping in for supplies... it was simply a broad truth. The young man despised lying. Rena nodded; she liked it when Vince could think of a good excuse to why they were in a town. She hated it when he lied, also. People were usually able to see through those lies, and they'd get in even bigger trouble. So when he told the truth, she felt much safer. Afterward, the girl began to talk--about people, the world, of snow, and of dreams. She knew there was immense truth and wisdom behind those words, the collection of sounds had a certain feeling of experience behind them. It warmed Rena's heart, and she giggled when the woman showed her the snowflake. "Everyone's heart is one." That reached the young girl the most; it was so hard to see everyone as an equal when they didn't treat you the same way. It made her happy, yet incredibly melancholy at the same time. "What is your dream?" was asked of Vince. He was caught completely off-guard, and his heart seemed to sink. Did he have a dream? What was his goal in life? Did he even know? Was he nothing more than an empty shell of worry? A worthless waste of mass? Was his only purpose in life to be pursecuted, ridiculed, and hated? To simply run away from everything, forever? He wished that Rena didn't have to share the same fate. Surely she wasn't meant to be dragged around to stay safe? "My dream..." he slowly replied, trying to settle his racing mind. "My dream is to one day see a world where half-elves are no longer persecuted. To see a world where my sister can live in peace without having to be hated or hurt for who she was born as." Rena was practically heartbroken by her brother's words. That was his dream? For her to be happy? She felt like she could just melt--melt into the snow and be brought around the whole world, forever. Leave reality behind, and just melt."Vince..."There was then a series of introductions, where the young man found out the woman's name--Angie, and the Chosen's name--Colette. Though, he was still wondering about that red fellow off to the side. He also noted his use of dual swords, though instead of being weary of the stranger, Vince felt a relation between the two. He also used dual blades, and wondered if thier fighting styles were in any way simalar. He seemed to be a friendly person--at least, toward the Chosen. That meant he was also from Sylvarant. The half-elf couldn't help but wonder if his kind were treated the same way in that foreign world... ooc word count: 1036 comments: omg! super long post for Pai~ [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

What [truths] do we //see//? What [lies] do we -hear- ?
[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] Angie couldn't help but giggle at the little half-elve's question. She couldn't understand how the little girl got a vegetable from vacation, and why would the poor child not know about the word vacation.
Because they've been running for most of their lives, vacation is not something they would need in their vocabulary. She couldn't help but smiles sadly at the Rena and Vince, their life must have been hard. Though despite that, she can tell that even though they are experiencing hard times; they can still enjoy life as they are given. Her eyes naturally sweep around the area, all counting the best way to escape; considering each option that she is given and putting little scenarios in her head. Angie blinks a few times at those thoughts, she isn't in any danger; well at the moment anyway. Then again it wouldn't hurt to have plans of escape if she were to accidently do something unnormal; which is something she does a lot. Noticing that she was staring at the people beginning to come from their houses and go about their day, she takes a deep breath hearing the part of the two having to go and then the Chosen saying for them not to go. Her eyes look at the Chosen with shock; that is something that would give suspicion of inhumanity. Covering the shock with a smile, she suddenly hears something being spun and released then the feeling of warmth around her hip. That's when she feels no pain in her hip; pushing aside her cloak, she examines the pale skin that is her hip. "Wow, Arigato! Your an excellent healer, you.." she immediately shuts her mouth, the rest of her question dieing in her mouth. She was about to ask if the little girl could teach her how to use first aid, but that would be signs of abnormality of a human, and what’s more is that she said a Mizuhoain word. Arigato, thank you; ugh, I can just see myself slipping up again and end up getting attacked. It be even worse if they knew I am part of the Renegades, for they would think I'm a Desian. Angie merely giggles, and smiles nervously; rubbing the back of her head. Nodding to the older man's dream, a dream for his little sister. That's something that can happen, if only; if only Cruxis ends, than that dream may, no can happen through out time. Time, that's something that she has and yet doesn't have. She should really stop thinking about that, worry and worrying more is only going to make her time here unpleasant. "Where are you from?"The dreaded question, the kind that she rather not answer. Smiling at the chosen, she pushes her silver hair behind her ear; attempting to buy time so she could answer it but at the same time not answer it directly. "I'm from around Flanoir, I'm taking a break from my traveling. I do business all around Tethe' Alla." She answers, with a big smile. She answered the question truthfully; just not very descriptive. Gnome, I pray that she doesn't ask what business I do.
