The wind slowly flows in the air, the small trendils of cold hands making their way into the skins of the people outside. The whispers of winter slowly approaching the area like a plauge. Vast amounts of the sky is parted with many white painted brush strokes as the sun idly glares down. Its amount of time in the sky being lost to the moon, but the twilight keeping its time. As the time of the year where the moon reigns supreme, many people are getting ready for the harsh winter that proceedes. With food being packed and small holes being patched up; the towns folk wait restlessly for the cold to come and quickly go away. For those with no home to warm their times of cold; they look around for a best place to stay for the harsher times, and warm cloths for the nicer times.
Two pairs of blonde pigtails bob their way into town; the gray cloak wrapped around a small frame billowing in the small wind, and grayish eyes gleaming with youth. As the girl makes her way into the center part of town, she stops to check whats in store for her. A small cat walking out from behind to sit down on the ground with its tail wrapping around and proceedes to lick itself. Trying desperatly to get ride of the grims of traveling off of it's raven colored fur, even though it's hardly able to be seen. With hands on her hips, the girl surveys the area for an inn a smile spreads on her pale features to catch a library. The cat looks up from its cleaning to notice the girls smile and looks towards where she's looking.
"Cherry....It would be in our best interest to find an inn and not idle around a library." The cat chides telepathicly to the girl. As the girl looks over to the cat she frowns with a pout. The cat shivers a bit and looks ominously towards the sky. "I can sense a storm coming, the feeling of dread is in my bones."
"I suppose soo...." Cherry says with a disapointed tone, her head swiviling around to remember where the inn was. The many times she had come here, she had to always ask someone where the inn was. She was never good at remembering things like that, cause usually the cat always there to tell her or she would ask. "So uh... where is it again, Mystic?"
Mystic sighs, shaking his tiny little head as he got up on all fours and ran around Cherry's legs to times before standing before Cherry.
"Honestly. You're hopeless with out me child," Mystic says with a sigh, and that was the truth. The many things he had done for her were unbelievable.
"Of course I am hopeless Mystic, but that's why you're my friend!," Cherry exclaims a little too loud for Mystic's taste. Many passing people look at the girl strangely, wondering when she lost her mind to talk to a cat. Naturally it would be fine if it was one sided conversation, but the girl was talking like the cat is talking to her. Mystic sighs and shakes his head, running up to Cherry and tugging on her cloak for her to follow. Usually it was Cherry that was chidding Mystic for forgeting that normal human's don't react well with Protozoans. Manly because they didn't know that they existed any more so as such Mystic was nothing more than a talking cat. Even though his form of speech is telepathic. The two bound off towards the inn, hoping that by some chance that there will be a vacant room. Other wise they would have to try to go for the 'poor child' act and get to sleep on a couch of a strangers house. That of course does not bode so well with Mystic.

Myuria Tionysus A tall slender figure stood in front of the check in desk inside the town's inn. She was tired from traveling for the last few days and needed a rest." Your lucky lady, you got the last room." The man behind the desk said as he flipped threw the inns vacant book. The woman just let out a long sigh, "That'll be 100 gald." The man reached under his desk and pulled out a key for the room."Aww..I don't have that much gald" The elf said as she reached over close to the man and batter her eyes and gave a sly smirk. "Couldn't I get a little discount" She said with a wink and a smile. " Umm..just give me what you have and well work out the rest tomorrow." She just smiled and handed over a small amount of gald, she knew what the man meant and she knew what he wanted. Of course she wasn't going to give him what he wanted. She would be long gone way before he got back to work the next day.
She took the room key from the man then walked over to near by window. She was not ready to retire for the night. She looked up and scanned the sky, a storm was coming. Not really minding storms she wasn't bothered. Fall storms weren't so bad they were usually light and didn't cause much damage. She then scanned the little university town, the town was moving getting ready for the cold winter that was coming quickly.
The wind blew, blowing her hair as it did. She slowly ran her fingers threw it. As she looked at all the things that were going on in the town, her gaze slowly made it way to a lone girl in the center of town who appeared to be talking to what looked like a cat. She couldn't be sure of what it was unless they came closer. The girl seemed to be talking to the cat-like creature, then she stopped talking and made her way quickly over to the inn were Myuria was.

Cherry quickly makes her way towards the inn, slamming the door open and stepping in with a bright smile on her face. Mystic runs through her legs and heads for the desk, his caculating eyes surveying around the area to stop on the other elf in the room. Straying his eyes away for a second, he flicks his head towards the desk for Cherry to get the idea that she needs to get a room for them. Cherry nods her head as she bounces up to the desk personal, giving her big bright smile. She places her hand on the desk as she barely can see over the desk and waits for the person to address her.
"May I help you?" The man asks. Cherry nods her head up and down with enthusiasm, while Mystic makes himself comfortable on the desk staring down the man. The man looks at the cat through the side of his eyes, a little nervous with the intense gaze he's recieving.
"Can I have a room, please?" Cherry asks as politly. The man slightly looks over towards the elven woman near the window before quickly looking back at Cherry and shaking his head.
"I'm sorry. We don't have anymore rooms open, I'm afraid." The man says solomely. Mystic looks a little suspiciously as he turns his head over to Myuria, before looking back at the man with a knowing expression. Knowing that the elven woman got the last room by the way he looked at her, or the man has a thing for the elven woman.
"Awwwww.....Now where are we going to stay." Cherry says with a dissapointed tone and a pout. Stepping away from the counter she crosses her arms; tapping her foot on the ground in a habit way of showing her frustration.
"It would seem that the elven woman near the window took the last room."
[/i] Mystic says telepathicly. Cherry looks over towards Myuria sadly, rocking on the balls of her feet, before turning her attention back to Mystic. "I guess we'll be sleeping out in the rain, then." Cherry says sadly with a sniff. Playing the sad child part, while Mystic is being fooled by it as he looks a little shocked. "I am not sleeping out in the rain." Mystic huffs. "My fur with get all wet and I'll get water in my ears. I'll suffer out there!"[/i] SKIT TIME~! [/size] Mystic:: I won't sleep out in the rain~! Myuria turned her head and couldn't help but over hear what the girl was saying."I guess we'll be sleeping out in the rain, then." For some reason this struck a cord with her. She couldn't let someone her age be stuck out in the rain. If the girl was a little bit older that would have been a different story and she wouldn't have cared. Has the death of her beloved hardened her hear? She didn't like to think so and this most likely proved it. Then again why did she even care, what made this girl different from anyone else? What ever the reason was she was still going to help out.
The woman let out a long winded sigh and then turned around and then called out to the girl,"Hey, girl! My room has two beds, you can stay in my room with me." [/b] Just then the wind blew in threw the window making Myuria's hair blow in her face. She ran her hands threw it as she did before trying to give a certain appearance while thinking, "What am I doing?". She knew that it was the right thing to do and that her dearly departed husband would want it. but she didn't want to baby sit. She had her own things to do. Myuria then slowly made her way over to the girl and looked at her with a smile. What did she have to gain, nothing really. " Well, what do you say?" We wouldn't want you and your little Friend to get drenched out in the rain."[/b] Looking down at what she would call "kitty" Now that they were a little closer Myuria could easily tell that the girl was an elf and that the "kitty" with her was not really a cat at all. This made Myuria let out a little chuckle, she should have known earlier what they were. It was of no surprise to her though, she has seen my things. But this would be an excellent chance to study such a creature up close. But then again she really didn't care much for "older" relics.[/blockquote][/size]

Both perked up at the woman's offer, completely happy with her obliging to allow them to stay in her room for the night. Unable to keep his excitment to himself, he bounds off towards Muyria and swerves around her legs wtih excitment.
Oh thankyothankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!" Mystic rambles like the senile old man he is. Cherry giggles at his antics and walks forward to Myuria and bows a 45 degree angle down.
"Thank you very much, miss." She says with a big smile as she looks down at Mystic as he continues to swerve around Myuria's legs before getting dizzy and falling down on his side. "And Mystic is thankful too!"
"I feel sick just like when I ate a huge ton of catnip and got high on that stuff,"
[/i] Mystic groans out. As he slowly gets to his four feet and sways a bit as he goes towards Cherry. Cherry giggles once more at his comment and picks him up; cuddling with him. "Oh right! I forgot. I'm Cherry Videl, and this is..," Cherry says before pointing to Mystic who's lounging in her arms. "Mystic!"Mystic licks his paw before jumping out of Cherry's arms and landing on the floor gracefully. Sitting down, he curles his tail around his paws and looks at Myuria. Establishing a telepathic connect with Myuria, he mends it with Cherry's and talks. "It's a pleasure to meet you, miss."[/i] Mystic says formally. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Post by Firo Kana on Jul 17, 2009 14:33:41 GMT -5
Firo landed far enough away from town that no one would see him... Unfortunately, he didn't notice the travelers staring at him wide-eyed nearby. Well, not until he landed and then his gaze came across them. Firo was not in a good mood, and these people would suffer for it. There were a grand total of three, a man, a woman, and a child. Firo stared for a moment, before deciding that they would die.
In a flash, Firo drew his sword, and charged suddenly at the man, with a two-handed slash from left to right, not quite horizontal, just slightly upward. He felt his sword slashing through flesh and bone, and then he looked down, seeing the blood seep into the ground, spilling from the two halves of the man's body. He then looked toward the woman, who was backing away with a look of horror in her eyes, and then turned around and tried to run away, holding onto the hand of the little girl, who was probably her daughter.
Firo rushed forward again, and this time slashed downward, aiming for right between the neck and the right shoulder. However, as he slashed this time, he flinched, feeling the pain from the arrow sticking from the front of his right shoulder, as well as the one sticking from the back of his left leg. His attack didn't go as far forward as intended, so instead of slashing right through her, only the tip of the sword cut into the woman's back, leaving a thin red line along where it cut, from up near the shoulder all the way down to the center of her lower back. Fortunately, this caused her to flinch as well, and Firo was able to finish her off with a thrust to the heart.
As the woman fell, the child tripped too, and landed on her knees. She looked up at Firo with helpless fear in her eyes, but he only grinned as he viciously beheaded her. Flecks of blood splashed onto his face, and he didn't bother to wipe them away. Neither did he wipe his bloody sword, instead simply putting it back into its sheath. It wasn't like it would rust, the edges were golden colored while the rest was already blood-red.
Firo retracted his wings at the same time he sheathed his sword. Then he calmly began walking the rest of the way toward town, his boots scuffing against the dirt path.
Several minutes later...
"What do you mean there are no rooms left?!" a man's voice rang out angrily, and the sound of a fist slamming down on wood was heard. The other man, standing behind the desk said calmly, "Just as I said sir. There are none available, I'm afraid that that woman over there took the last vacant room." The blue-haired man just stared at him icily, and said, "Free up a new room then! I'll pay five times the normal rate!"
The man looked tempted, but responded, "I'm afraid that I can't do that. Perhaps you should just find a healer to tend to those wounds you have..." The unreasonable customer had arrows sticking out of him, though he didn't seem to be affected much. One in his arm, one in his leg, and he thought he'd seen... Well, hopefully the guy wouldn't try and sit down.
The man with the red leather coat evidently didn't want to take no for an answer. His fist suddenly shot forward, and the clerk found himself up in the air, held by his neck. The attacker simply said, "Give me a room. Now. The man who had found himself suddenly without ground to stand on was pale and shaky now, sweat running down his face and his eyes wide. He said, in a very strained, almost choked sounding voice, "Please sir... Calm down."
Firo let go of the clerk with a snort of disgust, and turned around to leave. He heard coughing behind him, evidently being nearly choked to death was unpleasant. As he was planning on walking out to leave, he noticed something odd. There were two girls standing over there that appeared to be elves. There was also a black cat right there, though that was hardly relevant to Firo.
Elves were not a common sight, and two of them at once was yet rarer. Firo suddenly remembered that his beloved Estressa was an elf. He stood there staring at them, a scowl still on his face while inside he was thinking about Estressa and all her wonderful evil...
Words:809 Comments: Isn't it lovely just how much of an absolute monster Firo is?

Myruia was happy that the Cherry was grateful for helping her,at least some kids these days have manners." It's no problem I'm happy to help." [/b] She said with a smile, something she doesn't do often genially. She thought Mystic was just to cute, she just wanted to pick him up and squeeze him tight. " My name is Myuria Tionysus. But please just call me Myuria."[/b] She nodded her head and then set her gaze on Mystic. " I'm pleased to meet both of you"[/b] Than a thought crossed Myuria's mind,"why would someone so young be out here all by herself. She could understand wanting to get away from certain things, but still. Just then a pale and sickly looking man came into the inn demanded a room. He had arrows sticking out of him and it looked painful. Myuria thought she could help with her healing artes at first, but than again when it came to healing she knew only basic stuff. But than she had already done her good deed for the day, she especially thought this after the way she watched him treat the Inn keeper. He was brutal for someone that looks the way he does. On his way out her stooped to apparently stare at her and Cherry. Of course being the type of person that Myuria was she stared right back not wincing and not showing any fear what so ever. She could tell that this man was dangerous, but she could be dangerous too.[/blockquote][/size]

"Well, thank you once again Ms. Myuria," Mystic states with a slight bow to the head. Looking up to Cherry he watches as she watches the man; Cherry's face devoid of any happiness from before. Her gray eyes watching the man 'talk' to the inn guy; turning his attention to the man he watches with a spark of interest.
Quite unusual mana signiture coming from the man. His mana doesn't even speak of the sick look that his appearance gives off. Nor does his mana reach the specifics for a normal human either.
[/color] Cherry continues to watch the man, her eyes watching every movement about him. Death shrouding the man like a black cloak; a chill runs down her back at the sight of the man. Right when the man is done with talking with the inn guy; he turns around to go out. For a brief instance Cherry's eyes catches Firo's before she quickly turns her head away to look out the window. As Firo comes by and stops to look at the two; Mystic only snorts and glares at the man. What are you looking at?!"[/i] Mystic states, quickly as he can establishing a telepathic connect before destroying it after his little question. "Can I help you?" Cherrys asks politly, tilting her head to the side and ignoring Mystic. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Firo's gaze caught the younger girl's eyes for but a moment, before she turned away from him. The older woman stared back at him unflinching. Heh. Suddenly, Firo heard a voice... In his mind...? It asked him what he was looking at rather rudely. Firo stared at the cat, intrigued. What was this creature?
Firo heard the girl ask "Can I help you?" Firo glanced back at her and responded, "It is simply not every day that I see an elf, and I found seeing two of them to be quite intriguing." His voice was friendly, he was a master of trickery after all. He then said, "This is a rather... Interesting animal you have here. I have never heard of a telepathic cat before."
Firo stared at it with a very... Interested look in his eyes. Perhaps he could capture the creature and somehow bring it to Estressa, she would love to experiment with such a thing. Though he wouldn't just grab it and run, perhaps he should try and learn more... Firo felt his pain flare up in his wounds again and a slight twitch of annoyance at the pain crossed his face.

Were they really all that rare, not to Myuria they weren't. Elves that is, to her they were just like every one else. Myuria always felt like she was intriguing so this didn't really bother her much. The man seemed to act completely different than he did just a few moments ago. Myuria just thought he might be having a bad day or he was just moody." I'm sure you don't know a lot of things." [/b] She said this under her breath so quietly that even she could barely hear herself. She looked at him up and down, she didn't like the looks of this guy, how could some one look the way he does and still move around with arrows in him. Something about him was very strange. She could clearly tell he had an agenda and what exactly was he doing her in Sybak in the first place. " It's rude to ask questions with out first stating your name, so what is it ?"[/b] She said this this flat out and very bluntly, but also with a grin. She was trying to put up friendly face not wanting to make a huge scene. _____________ ____ Comments; Ugh crappy post. >.< [/size][/blockquote]

Cherry didn't like the man very much, everything about him was just wrong in her opinion. Like the fact that he looked like a very sickly man even though he's walking around fine with arrows sticking out of him. His mana was different than from a human's was another thing; it just screamed 'I'M NOT NORMAL!" at her and she was listening to it. Then there was the fact that death hanging around him was different than from Mystic. Mystic's had happy death around him; the man on the other hand had grumpy death about it. Don't ask her logic on that, but that's what she got from them.
"Telepathic cat~?! Please! There has never been a recorded anomaly before in history. The only telepathic cat you see now days are oooowwwww" Mystic begins with his rant before having Cherry 'rudely' stomp on his tail. Which causes the Protozoan to screach out in pain and tug on his tail for her to let go. Looking at Cherry with an angry look he scitteres away with his head up high and his tail stuck up in the air. Cherry ignored Mystic and kept looking at Firo. She did not like the way that he looked at Mystic; that 'I'm going to dissect you' kind of look. That's something that she's sure Mystic would not want to happen. Though she's glad that Firo couldn't hear the cat since Mystic had destroyed the connection long ago and forgot to establish it from his little ranting of history.
"Sorry." Cherry first begins with a bow. "But me and my cat must go for now."
With that said she quickly and nervously makes her way over to Mystic and picks him up.
"I'm not a rag doll that you can just pick up as you please, Cherry."
[/i] Mystic begins, but is ignored by Cherry as she quickly makes her way out of the inn. Hoping to Origin that Myuria would keep Firo's intrest and keep the man far away from them. With this new found energy, she wasn't so against with just stuffing Mystic under her cloak and walking the rest of the way to another town. Perhaps Meltokio. Even if it would rain. She wanted far away from the man; very far away.
Comments: Cherry is very paranoid. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Firo heard the older one ask him his name, in a rather blunt manner. He raised an eyebrow, but then he said as charmingly as possible, "Forgive me, I did not introduce myself. I am Count Firo Kana..." He sincerely doubt that word of his crimes had spread faster than his wings could fly. He was in no danger revealing his identity at the moment... Not that he couldn't handle whatever came either way.
Suddenly, the girl said that she and her cat should be going somewhere. Was she scared of him? Firo thought he remembered hearing something about elves having a sensitivity to Mana that allowed them to tell what race someone was... Perhaps she'd sensed that he wasn't quite human himself somehow? Though that hardly mattered, it was mostly just an idle thought...
Firo turned back to the woman who had asked him his name. "Pardon me, he said courteously, with a bow and a grin, "But I believe that I must be going as well. May I know your name before I leave?" Firo wasn't truly that interested in her compared to the cat that had just been taken off. Part of it was that every little bit of information he gleaned, even simply the name of a stranger, had the potential to somehow be used in his favor someday.
Firo would leave if she didn't answer quickly enough. He wasn't about to let that cat get away...

It seemed that everyone was leaving not that Myuria really cared all that much. But it did worry her that that Firo wanted to leave as soon as Cherry did. She could tell that the little elven girl didn't like to be around Firo, Myuria didn't care to be around him either. Some how she had to stall him," My name Myuria, Myuria Tionysus." [/b] She said this in a soft tone, it was like her whole attitude changed. This was a gift that she had, yes it was something she had to work on, but eventually she got it down pact. She didn't really act the way she does now now until her husband died. Now she feels like she has to put on a tough shell, but a soft face. The expression on her face became a lot softer and she looked a lot nicer and welcoming. " Shouldn't you get those arrows checked out before you go. I could look at them, though I'm not really a healer I have studied basic healing and I could help you." A smile came across her face and it did look liked she sincerely cared, even though she really didn't. Than again she did want to find out how was this man could be standing, walking, and not to mention having a fight with the inn keeper. Hopefully she gave Cherry and Mystic enough to get away from this weird man.[/size][/blockquote]

Black shoes smack against the stone floor, causing the sound of 'click click click' to happen as the young girl speeds away from the inn. Her cloack billowing out behind her as a young cat struggles from out of the girls grip. Falling down onto the floor the girl skids to a stop, her blonde pigtails bobbing from the sudden stop. As she looks behind her towards the cat her eyes flash with fear, no terror. The cat looks up with a ferious look before softening at the look in her eye. Settling down he looks up at her with worry.
"Cherry..."
[/i] Mystic says quietly to her. Tears start to form at the edge of Cherry's eyes, fear swelling up in her chest. She doesn't want Mystic to go away like her parents did, like her old master did. She didn't want him to dissapear. "Mystic...please don't...I dont' want to be near him..he's bad Mystic.. I can feel it." Cherry says in a quiet sad tone. Mystic looks at her quietly before nodding his head, with a sudden flash of black fire seeming to engulph him. He instinatly turn into a large formed cat, his tail swaying around as he looks around the place. Glad that the form of a storm had caused everyone to go inside, he walks over towards Cherry for her to get onto his back. Noding her head she swings her leg over Mystic and grabs around his neck just as he rushes forward with speed. The library in mind. As Mystic finally makes his way to the front door, Cherry slides off of Mystic and he returns into his kitten form. Jumping into Cherry's arms she easily conceals the protozoan under her cloak as she makes her way into the library. A place where the both think is pretty safe. Smiling at the librarian she idly walks over to a table and sits down. Lowering her head she smiles down at Mystic. "If that man comes in here we can easily make an uproar with him causing him to be thrown out of the library...or at least if he goes away like a nice boy that is.."[/i] Mystic says to Cherry as she nods her in understandment. Smiling at Mystic sadly she cuddles with the Protozoan which usualy made him squirm away but now he knew that she needed the comfort.

The elven woman introduced herself as Myurai Tionysus, and then offered to take a look at his wounds. Firo shook his head, "No, I am fine, and I do not have time to waste. Thank you for your kind offer however madam." He bowed, then walked out of the inn.
He looked around... Where were those two? But, then, he spotted them, heading toward the library... More specifically, the girl, riding on top of a much larger cat... Which then shifted back into the first cat he'd seen once she'd gotten off of him upon reaching the library. Well that was interesting... A shapeshifting cat? He most definitely needed to bring that to Estressa. He had no doubt she'd find it fascinating...
Firo calmly walked down the street, toward the library he had seen them entering. He wasn't going to let the cat escape... Whatever it really was.
