A PV for Symphonic Melody?

OMG! A PV?!

YES, a PV--or "Promotional Video" is being taken into consideration by me for Symphonic Melody. This video would include anyone who would like their characters included, where they will be animated in a way that you wish. I'll include Canon, too. It'll be put to music, and posted on YouTube to put in our AD, in the Advertising Board, and just for YouTube publicity. I've done this before, and it works like magic. Not that we need more members (it'd be nice, though), but PVs are just really fun to make and share, especially when other characters are included in them.

SO, if anyone would like to see this PV be made, feel free to reply to this thread. Want your characters (even canons) featured in it? Include that in your post, as well as what you want your character to do. Depending on how many people submit things will depend on the music that is used. Though, I'm planning on using something by David Garrett (he's a violinist... I think you know where I'm going with that).

Want to include your character? Well, I can only provide them up to 8 seconds of air time each. But what they do in it, and how it's done is the information I need. Character's names and owners will be credited in the description, so there's no need to worry about plagarism.

Oh, the PV is going to be animated in anime style, by me. For those that don't know, I am an accomplished animator, and have won more than a few awards for my hand-animation productions. I've also been hired before. Want to see my work before agreeing to let me animate your characters? PM me and I'll show you my YouTube Channel.

I really encourage that you contribute to this project, not only for my own motivation and inspiration, but for some pride about your character, some healthy publicity for the site, and just a really fun thing to see when it's completed.

Form for Submission:

Character's Name: your character's name
Link to Bio: their bio link.
What you want them doing: whether it's an action scene, then turning around and smiling, a cute pose, whatever.
Time legnth: from 2-8 seconds each. I don't want everyone to have 8 seconds--that's the max. Animation is hard, you know. If I have some spare time, I'll make the scenes longer.
Angle: what sort of angle do you want your character to be seen from? Bird's Eye View? Worm's Eye view? Straight on? Whatever.
Lighting: Candle Light? Sunlight? Magic light? No light? You pick.
Backround: Forest? City? Field? Dungeon? Temple? Whatever. This is one of the most important parts. I can use an already-existing picture, too.
Picture: A Picture of your character, if you have one. This is strongly encouraged.
Other: Anything else you'd like to include.




I CAN TAKE MORE THAN ONE CHARACTER IN ONE SCENE. THIS MAKES MY WORK EASIER, AND IT COULD LOOK BETTER. IF YOU WANT TWO CHARACTERS IN ONE SCENE, FILL ONE FORM OUT FOR BOTH OF THEM. FOR SEPERATE SCENES PER CHARACTER, USE SEPERATE FORMS. The form is a very quick, easy, simple contribution that is very important. Trust me; my job is much harder than yours.

What you want them doing:

• In Welgaia, where Yuna is glaring at a pile of papers as Kratos comes in with a smirk and sets 5 feet of paper stack on Yuan's already heavily stacked one. Yuan's eye twitches with horrorat the 10 feet high stack of paper before crying; while Kratos only smiles.
  
• Welgaia, again. Yuan and Kratos glare at each other as they jam themselves through a door. Fighting each other before finding themselves stuck. Both sweatdrop.
  
• Kratos comes over and puts his hand on Yuan's shoulder to catch his attention. Kratos gets momentarily shocked as his hair smokes and poofs out in several directions. Lightning hair~! and Kratos glares, while Yuan snickers... his obnixious snicker.

I'm gonna submit all six of my characters for this. I turned the names into bio links, and put all the scene description fields into one.

Drake Aurelis

Scene Description: It starts off with a shot of Drake's face, with a pale blue light coming from below. Drake's eyes are closed, and he is holding his right hand up next to his face (not in front!) so that his mark is showing. This shot lasts for about three seconds. Then, Drake's eyes snap open, showing as normal green, as his mark starts glowing with a bright white light. His eyes remain green for about two seconds, before they suddenly go into dragon mode (XD as I call it, you know, they change and go all weird) and the light from his mark shines even brighter, and then they show like that for about a half second before going to another shot completely.

The next shot is from the front, but also slightly from the left and below as well. Drake is standing there, with his mark glowing and his eyes changed for about one second. Then, there's a flash of light ending the scene. The entire scene should have a background like in a thick, dark forest. Think Gaoracchia XD

Time length: 7 Seconds


Alicia Valka

Scene description:It begins with a shot from the front with Alicia in the sky, wings outstretched, and her arms as well, with her eyes closed. Generic angel pose It's sunset, and the sun is behind her. After staying like that for about a second, Alicia draws her sword, holds it pointing straight up right in front of her face, with her eyes still closed, but with a more intense look on her face.

After another second of this, her eyes snap open, and she suddenly crosses her chest with her arm, bringing her sword to be pointing behind her to the left, and then you see her start to swing. Then, cut to a shot where you see her face from the side, and you see her sword finishing its swing. (Kinda like she just used her Flash Tech! XD)

Time Length: Four seconds

Estressa Malia

Scene Description: You see Estressa from the front and somewhat above, zoomed out, standing on dark gray, almost black stone, like in a ruin. The lighting is extremely dim. She is holding both of her swords in a neutral (not appearing combat ready) position, and appears to be chanting a spell, while standing in a magic circle of blood red light. Her wings are out, looking to be two streams of black energy shooting from her back. After about two seconds of this, the magic circle suddenly glows much brighter, and then beams of black energy criss-cross across the screen.

Then, you see Estressa swing her longsword across the ground, and a crimson shockwave heads forward, toward the screen, before exploding and enveloping the screen with its blood-red light, then cutting to whatever scene you have next.

Time length: Probably about four seconds


Brian Kana

Scene Description: Starts off with a zoomed out shot of Brian from above and to the front-right. He is casting a spell, and the magic circle is black. Then, he finishes casting the spell. Then it cuts to a shot where you see a beam of darkness shoot from the ground up, (probably through a monster XD) and the camera angles to show as it shoots into the sky. It is daytime, and there are some trees in the background.

Time Length: Probably about three or four seconds total.


Firo Kana & Shara Kaline

Scene Description: It starts off with a shot from behind and to the left of Shara. They're in the middle of Meltokio at about noon, and Firo draws his sword on her. Then it cuts to a shot of Shara's face directly from the left. The camera angles around to a similar position to before as she charges toward Firo, and does a downward strike with both hands. It shows as their blades are locked for a couple of seconds before the scene ends.

Time Length: Probably at least three or four seconds.

What you want them doing: I would like Genis beating his kendama when lightning explodes right behind him, then the shot goes up and it shows the indignation circle, then the shot goes back to Genis smiling.

What you want them doing:
-The trip + squish scene. xD Fer srs. That's a total fluff moment. If you can get Sheena's shocked expression/semi-blush in there for a moment or two, that'd be awesome.
-The race to the palace is a good one too. Zelos' BUTTRAEP horde's en-masse-tackle would be totally awesome, but I think having Sheena faceplant almost immediately after getting a meter or two away would be the icing on the cake.

Time length:
-4 or 5 seconds, maybe?
-6 to 8 seconds... or shorter. I dunno, whatever works best for you if that's too long.

Angle:
-Level with both of them, perhaps switching or panning between the two to see each facial expression. Autumn leaves would be a nice touch too.
-Bird's eye view of the preliminary stretch of the race, cutting to a close up of Zelos' fingers almost getting a grip on Sheena's ribbons. Then switch back to a medium shot of the 'hunnie horde of Doom' tackle in the foreground, with a faceplanting Sheena in the background.

Lighting:
-Semi-dark
-Light, then dark

Angle: On the sid eof them showing that there back to back. Then circle them showing there faces and the monsters. Then pulling to a birds eye view of them surrounded by monsters.
Lighting: Sunlight like when the sun is going down, I guess evening or twilight.
Backround: A field surround by forest or a forest clearing.

Well, even though I'm still dying slowly with my almost full lack of internet and stuffs... I'll throw this in just to get it out of the way >~> knowing me I"ll forget later at teh library...

I'm just kinda listing ideas, so iunno, take your pick of what my... half-sleeping brain can think of. If you wanna mingle her in with a couple of other characters, that'd be cool...

• Hmm, maybe chopping down a tree? Or something to do with woodcutting.
  
• Another idea would be her carving something, maybe on the front step of her quaint little house or something.
  
• Of course, swinging her gigantic axe at some monsters. ^_^

Time legnth:

• Iunno... Probably 3-5 seconds or so.
  
• Probably about 5 seconds.
  
• Hmm... This one's probably 5, too. I'm horrible at gauging times, my apologies <<;

Angle:

• First focusing at her back as she brings the axe back to swing. Second angle could be focusing where the axe will chop into the tree, and then a focus on her front being hidden by the tree, while the tree falls to the side.
  
• A faraway shot somewhat giving her 3/4 view panning over to a frontal view at first. Second could be a little closer up, fully showing the carving and her looking up at the sky for a moment.
  
• I guess just whatever you might think is cool for this one. Not quite sure what I'd want.

Lighting:

• Just regular forest lighting, I guess, with the occasional beam here and there. Almost like what it looked like in the game, I guess, where it was fairly dark but you could still see.
  
• Same as before, more or less nighttime, though, so it's a little darker, but she's still quite visible.
  
• Feel free to play with the lighting all you like on this one <<;
