Seeming as if she wasn't paying attention to the world around her was a skill that Presea had down to a T, rather easily. Of course, she hadn't really started walking... She stopped, with her back to the duo of strangers behind her, as she listened to the boy's words and questions. She knew not the emotion that lay behind them, nor did she know exactly of what was affecting him, or even who Estressa was. She'd never heard of the woman... But the name was vaguely familiar. Perhaps Rodyle had mentioned her in passing? Presea couldn't entirely remember. She'd heard of the name somewhere... But she did not know the woman herself.
"I do not know. Goodbye." Those were her final words of parting... Emotionless as she was, she didn't seem to care. She wasn't entirely sure whether the two would follow her or not, but regardless, she had been asked to deliver the sacred wood to the cathedral in Meltokio. Perhaps she'd meet a few people there... Not that it would make any difference. Solidarity or in a group was no difference to Presea; she lived with both, as she didn't really seem to be a people-person. To the others that lived in Ozette, she was dubbed a monster; she did not age, she had no emotion... And was blank, absolutely blank. Had she been 'conscious' in a sense, she herself wouldn't have truly realized that she was twenty-eight years old. Yes... Fifteen, sixteen years, that was what she'd spent being the emotionless vessel that she was.
A simple body creating a Cruxis Crystal, that was all she was. An experiment... the Angelus project, they called it. Of course, Rodyle was the only one carrying it out... First it had happened with Alicia, Presea's younger sister, and then it had been put onto the young woodcutter who didn't even have enough of a coherent, conscious thought process to realize that there was a dead body lying in her home, the dead body of her father... Nor did she realize that her younger sister was dead. Killed by that noble she'd went to serve... Duke Bryant.
Not seeming to care, Presea resumed dragging the tree behind her, leaving out the path that led to the Gaoracchia Forest and towards Meltokio. How she would come out of the forest alive, none could guess... She just knew the area better than the back of her hand, having travelled it so very often.

Words: 411 ooc: T_T Apologies, but I hath been slacking lately. I told you guys you could post if I didn't post before I left... Well... I told Drake that... Meh, whatever. Presea made her exit, I'll probably start a new thread in Meltokio or I'll jump into an open one. Or something... idk. >>

Presea said that she didn't know anything about Estressa and headed off. Well... Now he knew that Estressa was connected with a man named Rodyle, who apparently had a connection to that strange girl... Perfect. Just absolutely FREAKING PERFECT! He knew nothing relevant that could lead him to her... But even if he ran into her, she would either capture him or slaughter him. Either way, she'd expend no real effort doing so.
However, the other girl then said something that caught his attention completely. "Estressa?!" he asked suddenly, his head whipping to look at her, "You know Estressa?! How?!" If Drake could get a lead on her... Well, he did know that he currently didn't have enough power to face her, but once he was stronger... He might be able to kill her! And if he had allies... The thought of destroying that witch, keeping her from hurting anyone else... Well, it wasn't like he had any other real aim, did he? Who knows, maybe he could get his parents free from whatever she'd done to trap them in their dragon forms and turn them into her slaves...

Angie keeps walking slowly as she listens in to Presea and Drake. Finding that Presea is going Angie already knows that if she would ever need the lifeless girl she can find her in Meltokio and Ozette. Clasping her hands behind her back like Yuan usually does she starts to whistle as she walks as slow as she can. Waiting for Drake to say something to make her stop, though as the seconds ticked by she was slowly getting up the ramp before she heard Drake's voice.
"Estressa?!" "You know Estressa?! How?!"
Hook..Line..and sinker.. heh
Angie stops abrubtly, standing there for a second making it seem like she's debating on whether to say anymore or just to ignore him and continue on her way. Knowing that the latter is compeltly what she's not going for, she quickly turns around with her hands still clasped. Her face giving off a serious suspicious look, to look as if she can trust him or not. "Hmph... why should I tell you anything about Estressa. You're just a normal kid, how should you know about her?" Angie says seriously, turning the question from her back to Drake. Moving her head up slightly she slowly walks down towards Drake before stopping before him. Spreading her legs apart slightly to be unnoticiable she gives off the 'she's in charge' kind of feeling in the air. Someone that he should not mess with, someone who could seriously put some smack down if needed. Cuase she's just awesome like that, well in her own mind that is. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

The girl had begun walking away, but when he shouted after her, she stopped. After a moment of just standing there, her hands clasped behind her back, she suddenly turned around and looked at him. She had a suspicious look on her face, like she somehow didn't think she could trust him.
She then said to Drake, "Hmph... why should I tell you anything about Estressa. You're just a normal kid, how should you know about her?" Drake said, "Oh, I think you know I'm not a normal kid. You saw my eyes when they had changed earlier." He then sighed, and began explaining. "Estressa... Well, she raised me. She claimed to be my grandmother... Which is utterly ridiculous, considering how she actually looks..." He then started as he realized something, "Actually, now that I think about it, she didn't look in the least different last time I saw her from my first memory of her..."
He shook his head, that wasn't really important. "Anyway, she was... Abusive. She beat me, she worked me half to death constantly. Then, one day, I got sick of it... I tried to run away. I ran into the forest, and came across... Two dragons." Drake looked slightly pained at the memory. "They didn't really attack, they just restrained me, kept me from moving... Except, one of them bit me. On my right hand."
Drake held his hand out, showing her the unnatural looking mark on the back of it. "Estressa came, referred to them as her pets. She said to come back or they'd rip me apart... The next morning, I had this mark, and the strange thing with the eyes." He still was confused thinking about his past. He didn't understand anything... "That day was normal, except I seemed to be stronger... Then, that night, I had a strange dream where I was hunting in the forest... There was rabbit fur in my room the next morning. The dreams still haven't stopped"
Drake sighed, obviously not liking his memories of the past, though he continued telling about them."Then, she started waiting on me hand and foot... Being nice. She even offered to teach me how to fight. That was four years ago. I never began viewing her being nice as anything but odd, outright suspicious even." He was heading toward the conclusion, what had not happened long ago at all.
Drake took another breath before he resumed speaking once more, "Just a few days ago, some strange people visited us. We lived in a place that can only be reached through Gaoracchia Forest, so their visiting at all was odd." His eyes became slightly more intense as he reached the last of the memories. "And today... Today was when I finally got free. She went out into the forest, and I read her journal. It revealed that the dragons in the forest were my parents... Were-dragon half-elves trapped in dragon form by some strange experiments of hers!"
Drake's eyes changed again to their golden flaming state. He was angry just thinking about it... "And the people who had visited just a few days ago... She was planning on doing experiments to turn me into a weapon for them, starting tomorrow. So, I ran away... I ended up in Ozette, where I got into a fight, she came and nearly cut me in half with a wind blade spell, and I barely escaped with my life. Oh, then I got lost in Gaoracchia Forest and ended up right here again!"
Drake looked up at the girl in front of him, breaking from his memories of the past."So no, I'm not a normal kid! Far from it! I'm a were-dragon and a half-elf." Suddenly, a thought occurred to him, and he looked even angrier. "And you... Again, how do you know her?! Do you work with her?!"
There was a flash of light, which faded to reveal a dragon in the air right above where Drake had been standing. If you're with her... Expect no mercy! I have no real goal in life except to protect people from monsters like her! So... Who are you, and one last time, how do you know her? Drake's flaming golden eyes met Angie's, and his intense glare showed that he was completely serious.

Through the whole little speech, Angie did her best not to start laughing. It was a serouise heart to heart speech; one that should not be taken lightly, but no matter what she said to herself about how rude it would be she couldn't help it. Perhaps it was the irony of the crude things the woman did; the fact that despite how many people have told about how evil she was, she still coulndn't help but think it funny. Call her heartless and a complete wacko, but i guess you could say that she wanted to cry so bad for Drake that the only thing she could ever express was her tears of laughter. There are no tears for her to express her sad attitude, quite frankly she was never good at expressing the right one. When things get down, she just smiles and laughs. Exactly as her old teacher had long ago done.
Then without realizing it Drake just suddenly turned into a dragon, his fire filled eyes glaring down at her. Standing there with a dumb look on her face, a small smile turned on her face. He was trying to intimidate her, sure she's surprised but with the little speech she kind of guessed he could do that. So without even thinking she started busting up laughing, for a minute or two she just kept laughing. Her hand holding her side as the cramp started form when you laugh to much. She just finally broke with all that's been happening. Everything just seem to build up on her chest right when Alicia just materalized out of no where. Another angel with some pretty swift sword movement, her style based on speed and agility like hers.
When she thought it was horrible that a snoty Noble was going to be staying at the base, everything just went from bad to worse when she found out she had to share her room with miss Alicia. Don't get her wrong, she shouldn't have any reason to not like Alicia, but everything about her just seem to tick Angie off to no end. Really, it could be her past meetings with nobles but Alicia is a little stuck up in her little world to realize that everyone is suffering. Even if she did have some sort of feeling towards people, her little speech of justice hasn't really convinced Angie really.
Finally being able to take her berrings once more she snickers for a few seconds before trying to put the serious look on her face once more.
"Chill, just chill. No need to get so serious." Angie says. Repeating the words of her old thieving master. "You know it's not so polite to ask a person's name when you have not given yours before hand."
"Besides, I don't work for Estressa. I work for the guy who plans on getting rid of her." Angie says nonchalantly.

Suddenly, the girl started laughing... Laughing! Drake growled quietly. He didn't see anything funny here! He didn't attack yet, but he watched her closely... If she tried anything, she'd find herself being attacked by an angry dragon pretty quickly.
Suddenly, she said to chill, there was no need to be so serious, blah blah blah... Then she said that it was rude to ask someone's name without giving it first. And finally... She explained that she wasn't working for Estressa, but someone who was trying to get rid of her.
Drake responded to her question of his name, My name's Drake... So... There's someone else trying to get rid of her as well? Who? Drake was still so confused... He didn't really know anything about what was going on. Or about anything really... He'd learned some about Tethe'alla through books, but he'd been more drawn to fantasy than history than anything else, even when he had been able to read, so there was so much about the world he had no idea about...
That wasn't to say that he was naive. Even without personal experience, only reading from books, he didn't simply trust everyone he met... Nor did he distrust them, though considering his life so far, that would have been understandable...

Angie could tell that Drake didn't like her laughing at him. That told her that he really took this woman seriously, not she didn't she just doesn't do so well on the expressing part. After all, Lord Yuan takes the woman as a threat, than why shouldn't she? It would be foolish of her to take the mad woman lax. Thinking of that, she couldn't help but remember her old master's words.
"It's never a good idea to underestimate or overestimate an enemy. Take them as your equal, and learn before you judge. You might be surprised with what they can do."
Remembering that Drake is a dragon and could, if fast enough, bite her head off. Keeping her composure, she listens to what he has to say. "My name's Drake... So... There's someone else trying to get rid of her as well? Who?"Angie nods her head. "Not only is he working to take Estressa down, but he's also trying to get rid of the people who have him going after the old hag." Angie says cooly, remembering that he wouldn't understand what she's talking about. She shakes her head to dismiss what he couldn't understand. "That other stuff is basically a need to know thing. After all, how can I trust you with the most important secret in history?"Perhaps she's been laying it thick, but that's basically what it is. No one knows that Cruxis is in control of the Church of Martel and the Desians that ravage the declining world. They are also responsible for the monsters that are now appearing in Tethe' Alla. Well you could say that it's the Chosen of Sylvarants fault for doing the ritual, but she pretty much had to do it. Well anyway. "By the way, I'm Angie~" Angie says with a wink, holding her hand out. Giving an excuse for Drake to drop his dragon form and become human. "Renegade soldier of the century~!"And Cruxis angel~ [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Drake was confused. She worked for a guy who had been told to get rid of Estressa, but was also trying to get rid of the ones who had sent him after her... What. So... Were they allies of Estressa or not? ...Probably not, she'd already said that he was trying to get rid of her, not that he was supposed to. Though that was assuming that he could trust this girl... Which wasn't entirely certain.
However, Drake was willing to take any leads he could get. And then the girl said something about the greatest secret in history...? Okay, now he was curious. Finally, the girl introduced herself as Angie, and called herself the Renegade Soldier of the century or something like that...
She held her hand out, looking like she wanted to shake hands. Drake was tempted to just use his claw, but then decided that since he could shift to dragon form instantly if anything happened, that it didn't matter.
He returned to human form, and shook Angie's hand. "You called yourself a Renegade soldier?" he asked, confused, "I didn't know there was any war or anything..." It was rather obvious that he was a bit confused...

Angie supresses the urge to smirk at her victory of getting him to shake her hand in human form. Even if he though he could switch to his dragon form, she'd be long gone. Not only would she have the forest as cover, but she could easily dodge while that guy would be practicly trying to bulldoze the forest down just to get to her.
Giving a firm shake of the hand, she steps back and tilts her head to the side. Giving the usual smile that she gives to strangers, the one that doesn't allow anyone to know what she's thinking.
"Wouldn't you like to know~!" Angie responds to his question. Baiting him a little more on the subject, making him trying to be more curious on the subject. To get him to ask more questions, where she can intergect back for more info on Estressa. Though from what she can tell, this guy doesn't know as much as her.
Feeling that she's got all the info she can from him, she closes her eyes and leans back to pop her back. Straightning up quickly and streatching her hands out in front of her. Bouncing on her feet, she gives a quick glance at the forest.
"Well I think I've said enough," She says mysteriously, her eyes twinkling with amusment. She stretches her arms out, using that to distract his eyes to there instead at her slowly shifting foot to her right. "But I'll tell you this much. Everything that you think you know about Tethe' Alla is practically a lie."
Giving a wink, she reaches behind her back and takes out a dagger quickly throwing it at Drake's face. Using that divertion as she sprints off towards the woods. If he's really wants to know, he'll chase after her. We'll see how he feels if he catches her and gets his answers. He'll definetly start doubting what he knows.

The girl was taunting him. Trying to feed his curiosity. Drake was sick of this, having no idea what was going on. But even as he was getting annoyed, she said something about everything he thought he knew about Tethe'alla being a lie...
Then, suddenly, she took out a knife, and threw it at him! "Wha!" He cried in shock, and he shifted into dragon form with another flash of light, flying toward her. The knife did hit, but at the angle it was at, it glanced off one of his scales...
Now he was angry. What the hell was that for?! he shouted, even as he flew after her... At quite a considerable speed as well. He didn't expect her to outrun him, even if she got into the woods. Since the way he moved in dragon form, the trees wouldn't be at all difficult to dodge around, and if he flew low, branches wouldn't be an issue either.

No sweat. It's cool. It's not like you could tell that a big huge dragon could manuvuer the forest better than you thought. It was her fault for underestimating the were-boy. She should have listened to her old master's words. Yeah...
Angie quickens her pace, weaving her body through the trees as her gloved hands graze around the trees for support. Her legs pumping and her test of agility being put to the test, as she causes difficult manuevers. Seeing how Drake can handle the turns and such.
Seeing a small tree coming to her left, she slides her body around the tree, causing herself to face Drake. Running straight at the were-boy, she slides underneath and ends up having to do a few flips to get her footing.
"Little boy~ If you wanna swim with the big fish, you need to learn to move like them!" Angie hollers behind her. Obvlious if he's catching up to her move there, or if he's starting to regain his composure. Leaping over a log, she takes a quick turn and jumps up on a branch. Swining on the branch, she turns herself around to face where Drake would be and pulls herself up. Standing on the branch, she gains her balance and crosses her arms.
"Drakie~ How willing are you to defeat Estressa?" Angie says, her voice oozing with confidence. Her smile turning into one of a huanting look. "Enough to put all your beliefs on the lie?"

Drake realized that he would have to pay attention to catch up to Angie. Her acrobatic moves were difficult to follow... However, he was determined to catch up to her, find out what was going on! He would NOT let someone who knew about Estressa get away...
Then, suddenly, the girl charged toward him, and slid underneath him! Taunting him... He was startled, and failed to grab onto her with his claws, but he whipped around, and continued to pursue her. However, soon, she stopped fleeing, standing on a branch, and looking at him.
Drake stopped, and watched her warily, ready to dart after her in an instant if she moved, or tried to do anything. As she asked him how determined he was to defeat Estressa, if he was willing to put his beliefs on the line...
Put them on the line? he asked, Just what do you mean? I'm determined to stop her from harming innocents... And I won't do that myself! But if everything I know about Tethe'alla is false... Then I need to know the truth! No matter what that truth is!

Angie couldn't help but smile at his comment. How cute and innocent. How he just oozed with confidence in his words. Well she wasn't sure if he'd actually stick to his words, but wouldn't he make a fine Renegade. I mean you don't get much were-dragons in that organization.
Hmmm...Who knows~ So many possibilities just swimming in her head at the thought of what would happen. Well what's the point of analyzing when you can just examine the out come~
"Well than. Follow me if you're so curious." Angie says with a smug look on her face as she backflips off the branch and lands on the ground with a thud. Wasting no time, she turns on her heels, still crouching to the ground, and rushes off towards Sybak. Somewhere she's suppose to be at this moment. woops~
