Appearance: In the game, Abyssion appears as a travel worn and somewhat sickly navy blue haired male in the town of flanoir, weight and height are not known, but the clothing he wears is a red coat-like shirt with blue armour-like pants, He also sports a sword that he uses when he fights off monsters when he is traveling. He is seeking out the Devil's Arms, a set of cursed weapons that are 'rumored' to be as powerful as the devil himself{they are the weakest weapons in the game, but with paitence, can become the most powerful depending on the type of enemy slain}. when he turns into an evil demon however, his slicked back navy blue hair becomes red and spikey with two strands drooping at the sides, try picturing the LSS, Broly; like that and place a green eye on that guys chest along with a pair of tatoos underneath his eyes, and you have a recipie for disaster wearing armor-like pants with one of the Devils Arms already equipped.
Personality: As a human, Abyssion is calm and a bit nonchalant in style as well as obbsession, but as a demon, he is as ominous as Mithos Yggdrasil in all his glory. He speaks like a demon before and during the battle between Lloyd's group and himself and even employs the powers of the Devil's Arms in combat, at the very least all the melee types, and is to be treated with extreme caution and extreme firepower. He is far more cruel than any Desian or member of Cruxis, and has a tone that suggests that he is extremely vicious in his demonic form rather than his human form, adding to his violent disposition...

Abyssion is the superboss of the Devil's Arms sub-quest. He appears after the player has gathered all nine Devil Arms, and upon his defeat, will unlock the weapons. Despite having the same statistics of their locked states, the Devil Arms will now increase in the amount of physical damage they do proportional to the amount of monsters the specific user has killed.
To start the quest, you must first find Soul Eater or Evil Eye (or both) and talk to Abyssion, who appears in Flanoir. There, he reveals that the Devil Arms are cursed, and gives you the Nebilim Blade and Nebilim Key, which is required to unlock chests that contain the remaining devil arms. On finding eight of the nine weapons, he tells you that he will meet the party in the Temple of Shadow, where he will seal them away for good. After collecting the ninth Devil Arm, the party meets Abyssion and hand him the Devil Arms. He then pulls out the Necronomicon, a cursed tome containing forbidden knowledge, and absorbs the Devil Arms energies. The battle then commences.
He can also use powerful elemental spells with very little casting time and is very hard to stumble. He also has 120,000 HP{360,000 HP in MANIA mode}, in which he is the strongest boss aside from the Living Armour in Niflheim, the underworld. Since the Devil's Arms are activated by defeating Abyssion, this greatly increases the difficulty of fighting him (as compared to other bosses, e.g. Mithos or Maxwell)

Through the blizzards of the frozen wastelands seperating Flanoir from the temple of ice, a man came traveling into veiw, this man was almost to the point that he was about to die from frostbite and had collapsed right on the edge of town, thankfully he was spared a 'chilling' demise by being brought to the inn by a few good samaritans that lived in the area. They managed to call for the doctor and along with him, they managed to place him near a viable heat source. By the time he recovered, he managed to thank those who helped him and decided to await a group that was traveling through, that group just so happened to be the chosen's group.{Lloyd, Colette, Genis, Raine, Sheena, Zelos, Regal, and Presea}
the group had chanced a meeting with this man, he introduced himself as Abyssion and asked the group if they had a odd looking weapon, and they obliged by showing him the Evil Eye. Abyssion explains to the the group that he is searching for the Devils Arms; cursed weapons of evil power, and gives the group the Nebilim Dual Swords that he had on him and Nebilim's Key, which the group uses through the journey to find the black chests containing the other Devils arms, one of which was in welgia, the other two that were not in treasure chests apart from the evil eye, were back in sylverant, the Soul Eater being in the belly of a sand worm, the Heart of Chaos in the hands of an avaricious old geezer named Koton, but in order for them to get them, they needed to help out Yuan and Botta put a stop to rhodyle of the 5 grand cardinals so they could meet back with Abyssion.
After a bunch of other fateful events{With which they were traveling and collecting the other Devils arms, and escaping from Welgia with a mana fragment needed to make a rune crest to cure a specific ailment that Colette was aflicted with that crystalizes the body(snatching the Devil's Arms Weapon there in the Process of returning to terra firma)}, they manage to knock off a sand worm for the Soul Eater Sword, and head back to see Abyssion, Abyssion tells Lloyd's party that he will meet them at the Temple of Darkness where Sheena formed the pact with Shadow, the Summon Spirit of Darkness, the group then travels back to Sylverant to aquire the last cursed weapon, the Heart of Chaos, from Koton, who gives it up willingly because of the evil power it was radiating, and shooed them away with it, with all nine of the cursed Devils arms in their posession, they return to Tethe'alla and head for the Temple of Darkness.
The journey for the group was just as difficult as it was when they last ventured through this temple to form the pact with shadow, only this time, it was to help Abyssion seal the cursed weapons away for good. Unaware that they were about to witness the most horrifying experience as they reached the altar of Shadow. They give Abyssion the Devil's Arms, and Abyssion pulls out the Necronomicon, the cursed tome containing forbidden knowledge, and chants an incantation, absorbing the evil energies of the Devil's Arms and transforms into a demon of pure evil power, and challenges Lloys group to a battle to the death.
Both groups had a distinct advantage over each other, for Lloyds group, it was a 4-on-1 battle against one of the strongest foes they had ever faced, for Abyssion, it was his sheer health{120,000 HP in the game} and stamina to which he fought relentlessly, apart from casting powerful spells like Meteor Storm with little casting time, this was the the most difficult battle for the two groups, and neither backed down from the clash of weapons and magick that was as difficult as it was challenging. In the end after this fierce battle, Abyssion was finaly defeated, both by the demonic power he weilded, and by Lloyd's group, he fell into darkness eternal, and the true power of the cursed weapons were unlocked as a result. But even if the Devil's Arms were revealed to the world, they would be steeped in mystery, and forever revered with fear by those who saw them in their dormant state...
